5 things I could not live without daily….

So last week were doing these fun blogging prompt/carnivals and I thought I would get all ahead by giving people a new prompt last week…the idea was to find things in your closet that you would never ever wear…except when I went to look, I seriously like everything I have in my closet, so it was a total buzz kill. I know that Karen published one, so head over to her page to participate with that. Unfortunately, that isn’t a topic I am going to be able to show off. (thankfully? unfortunately?)

Instead I challenge you to walk around your house and show us five THINGS you cannot live with out daily. Not people…not pets….things.

Here are

5 things I don’t think I could make it through the day without:

5) A chocolate stash that is all mine…

4) Hair ties. No matter if my hair is long or short, I cannot work or play with Phoenyx without it being pulled back. If I cant find one, I do the old pencil trick.

3) Books. I read every day. EVERY EVERY day. If I go to crawl in bed and its midnight and I haven’t read yet….I jump in the bath and read.  This didn’t really help me in college cause I still had one of those C averages.

2) A Bath. I cannot visit in my in laws, parents, rent a hotel room, or go to bed in my won home without a bath. I take one every night, sometimes two times. Sometimes three. It’s this habit I picked up when I was younger and has never left me. Surprisingly my daughter could care less about the tub.

1) Sweet Tea. Duh.

Now you go!

Share with your visitors 5 things that you cannot live without and link up to the post! Or, if you don’t have time to write an article (although you should cause its fun), just tell below 5 things in the comments.

If you enjoyed this post, please consider leaving a comment or sharing with your favorite site. My two favorite ways to share great finds are Facebook and StumbleUpon. Thank you so much for visiting!

  1. Chocolate was #6 on my list, so it didn’t quite make the cut. Hair ties are important too!

  2. You like your sweet tea about as much as I like my coffee… A LOT! LOL.

  3. Just wanted to let you know that because I started back to work today, I won’t be able to comment on all the blogs participating until my day off. I am pooped!

  4. Love everything on your list. I to eat chocolate almost everyday even if it’s only one small bite. I really enjoyed participating in this blog hop.

  5. Thank you again for the wonderful prompt, Trisha. I am really enjoying these! And that stash is a fantastic idea!

  6. That is so funny….because my own chocolate stash and a daily bath are on my list, too! I do the same thing…when I visit relatives, I have to take a bath as opposed to a shower! Here is my list…

At this point in my life….

    1. My kids….they are growing so fast and my oldest started high school, so he leaves us in 4 years, so now my time with them every day is even more precious to me!
    2. My cats! We have 2 male cats and an adorable all black kitten that my daughter rescued. Our boys are from the shelter, too. All 3 cats are the sweetest, smartest and most affectionate cats ever!
    3. My gym….a new one for me because after getting really sick last Spring, I joined a small Yoga/Pilates/Zumba gym and it is helping me in so many ways. I work out 5 days a week and I feel so much better.
    4. My chocolate stash!
    5. My bath….bubbles and People Magazine included!

  7. I’ve got to chime in on the candy stash! I have a mug full of Werther’s candies on my desk. I always tease/get teased that werther’s are for old people, so I use a vintage mug that says “grandma”

  8. Alrighty, I played! This whole “staying home from work with a sick kid” has it’s benefits… I can play along and visit all my online friends!

  9. That is a great list, I wanted to write a blog post but have things scheduled out — so here is my list of five in comments —

    1) Hair tie around my wrist – always pulling hair up by mid day so need to always have a hair tie on my wrist before leaving house.
    2) Morning cup (or two) of coffee. Literally get headaches if I don’t have it.
    3) My morning shower, some take them at night but I have to take a shower in morning to wake up!
    4) My sleep number bed, it has done numbers for my previous back pain, I sleep like a baby now.
    5) An ice cold gallon of water in fridge; I sip on it through out day and it helps keep my water intake high!

  10. Woa – I have never seen THAT chocolate stash…. you holding out on me?!

  11. Mmmmmmm, chocolate!

  12. Chocolate AND sweet tea! Is there anything sweeter? Great list, Trisha, and thanks for the blog carnival fun!

  13. Thank for the inspiration for a fun post! I didn’t even think of hair ties!

  14. That chocolate stash is lovely – and I’m with you on the hair ties. Summer = ponytail/bun/braids :)

  15. Great prompt idea! Easy way to get me writing :) Thanks!! http://mommysbundle.com/5-things-i-could-not-live-without-daily/

  16. Aww, the chocolate stash! I almost shared my ‘peach ring gummies’ but I was out so didn’t think I could honestly say I couldn’t live without it since obviously I was…. I’m enjoying getting to know you. Thanks for the fun topics.

  17. Aww, the chocolate stash! I was going to include my ‘Peach Ring gummy candy’ but I was out so didn’t think I could honestly say I couldn’t do without it daily since obviously I was. LOL
I enjoyed your ‘Must Have’ list and enjoying getting to know you.

  18. I’m with you on the bath tub … but it’s depressing crawling into my tiny tub, I want space to lay down and fall asleep under a mountain of bubbles.

  19. MMMMM, I have a chocolate stash too! :D

  20. Love this, and I’m right with you on the books!

  21. I would love to take a bath even monthly. Sadly our tub is super small and not comfortable at all. I want a big claw foot tub when we finally own a house.

  22. 1-ice cream
2-scent warmers and nice smells in the house
3-treats and love from my dog, she is my love (sorry DH)
    4-lap top
5-my BFF and blog partner, adopted lil sis Mariah

  23. Some kind of sweet thing. It changes everyday but must be sweet then have to have salty after. I am not a bath gal myself but I do love getting away and taking LONNNGGGG showers!

  24. One can’t live without my hair ties too!

    Do you still use scrunchies?

  25. these all sound AMAZING right now. For me I’d have to switch out bathtub with my 2 cats!

  26. I LOVE these blog carnivals!!! I am going to write up my post now and be back in a while to link up!!
Thanks Trisha for all the fun!

  27. No time, but I can’t live without Milk, my smartphone, TweetDeck, a message from my boyfriend, and talking to my friends!

  28. I shared mine. :-)

  29. 1) A shower
    2) My iPhone
    3) My Computer
    4) My iPad
    5) Chocolate anything!

  30. My list would be pretty much the same except for the bath. I shower daily but have never been lucky enough to have a large bathtub to enjoy. Choco stash, books, hair ties and tea are all used daily here though! I don’t have time to participate this week but just wanted to stop by and say I love these carnivals!

  31. Man, I wish I had a private chocolate stash! Whenever I have one my son thinks we need to share…

  32. There’s no way I could have a chocolate stash (or anything for that matter) without people getting into it.

  33. My body pillow – tried smaller ones but kept losing them and then my kids took them and knocked the stuffing out of them, so my husband let me get a body pillow, even though it’s so big it’s like having another person in the bed. My toaster oven – summer’s too hot to fire up the full-size oven, so the smaller one is just perfect. My ninja blender – small enough to not crowd the counter, powerful enough to make smoothies, and smoothies help me lose weight and also get the veggies into the kids (in the smoothies). Smoothies – about the most nutritious thing I put into my body on a regular basis. And last, but not least – My sci-fi/fantasy t-shirt collection. Acceptable to the clothing standards of the local Mundanes and Muggles, and I still feel like myself when out and about.

  34. Chocolate would have been #1 on my list…..

  35. Totally hear you on the chocolate and the sweet tea is a new one for me too. Don’t know why I started that one sooner.

LOVE to read and like you if it’s midnight I still have to read. Have you read anything good lately?

  36. Baths are not my thing (I’m a shower girl) – but books and chocolate are tops on my list of things I can’t live without.

  37. I need to try this Sweet Tea thing everyone seems to rave about. And I hear ya on the chocolate stash, Trisha. I don’t need it, but my wife and kids do, which is why there are multiple stashes throughout the house!
