Recently DASANIi challenged me to tell my readers what makes me sparkle…and I am sure they didn’t mean my makeup, so I have come up with 5 ways that I sparkle and wanted to share with you!  This article was sponsored by DASANI and there is a great way for you win a trip for four at the bottom of the post, so keep reading to learn more!!

5 Ways I sparkle Every Day

1) I sparkle by being a good parent.

I think one of the biggest joys of my life is the blessing of being able to hang out with my kids all day. Although I work from home and it can be challenging to say the least, nothing can replace being able to be there when they wake up, to kiss the boo boos, enjoy the laughs, and witness every milestone.

I try to do my best to allow my kids to be who they are, while still instilling them important life lessons. I really want nothing more than them growing up having looked back on being a child and loving every moment.

2) I sparkle by being a good spouse.

After 20 years being partners with the same person, there are absolutely uphill battles and struggles. The pull of wants, needs, structure, spontaneity, and life around us can certainly put us off sync at times. But I have traveled the world with this man, had amazing children, bought three homes, rescued 10 animals, colored my hair 14 shades at least 400 different times and shed meany tears of sadness and joy on his shoulder. There is nothing that makes me more whole than to just sit next to him after a long day.

3) I sparkle by being an entrepreneur.

Id be lying to you if I said when I started this blog I had no idea I would love it and it would lead me on the path to many different ways to enjoy success. I knew it would because I love being an entrepreneur. Whether its going on trips for brands, writing up my favorite products, or sharing my best craft and cooking tips, waking up each day and knowing I am solely responsible for my own path is such a reward.  Right now I have a full plate with this blog, blogging planner, top mom blogger, momdot media, Younique, and my newest leadership role within Jewelry in Candles.

4) I sparkle by being one half of a great friendship.

Id like to think I am a good friend and its taken a long time to get there. I was such a loner as a child and a teen, diving into books more than friendships, that I am so humbled by the friendships that have blossomed over the years as an adult. Connecting with old friends and meeting new ones, I love being able to be a loyal, consistent shoulder for those around me.

5) I sparkle with great eye shadow

Hey, I had to add it. Good makeup makes everyone sparkle, right? If you need some, I love Urban Decays NAKED and NAKED3 Palettes!

Trisha, you sparkle in so many ways- this list is just a tiny part of it. I like thinking about how we “sparkly”.

  2. says

Great ways to sparkle! I loved that I was able to stay home with my kids and raise them too, though when they were little I didn’t work from home. But I think it does affect the kind of person they grow up to become and you’re doing a fantastic job!

  3. says

I really appreciate the opportunity to stop and think about how we “sparkle” as moms or just people in general. It’s so easy to list all the things we do a mediocre job on, but there is so much we each excel at.

This post was such a joy to read! You do sparkle in so many ways Trisha and I love seeing embrace all of those :-) Your husband and kids are blessed as are those who have the privilege to call you “friend”. I never would have guessed you were a loner as a kid… Isn’t life’s journey amazing?!

  5. says

Love all of the ways you sparkle! I would say I sparkle most by being a mom. I would hope my friends say I sparkle at being a friend as well! =)
