With mothers day right around the corner, there has been a lot of talk on what to get “mom”. As a child, I went to the automatic fail safe of a hand drawn card and whatever dad brought home. As a mom now myself, I am able to shed more light on my personal ways that I feel “appreciated” as a mom.

• I like my family to say it. Tell me that you realized the dishes and clothes were clean and the floor was clear of the dust and dirt they tracked in just 5 minutes earlier.
• I always told my spouse don’t worry about buying me flowers, I hate to kill living things that are so beautiful. But the truth is, I love flowers. I love how they look and I love having them in the house. I find myself buying more and more bouquets to enjoy in the kitchen.
• Last but not least, and not to be overly cliche, but I adore chocolate. ADORE it. Even now if my spouse walks in with a coke and a chocolate I know he was thinking about me that day.

So you won’t be surprised that when I recently I had an opportunity to try a brand new flavor of Dove Chocolate, I jumped at the chance. Wouldn’t you?

I spent the week not only eating these little chocolate morsels of goodness, but testing them out in recipes. I used about a half a bag on some tea cup cakes that totally bombed. It wasn’t the chocolates fault though. I burned the heck out of it during the baking part. It was a total bummer. And this evening I used the last few we had and took cue from Dove themselves…I added the Cinnamon Graham Cookie Dove chocolates onto a Cinnamon Graham cracker, sprinkled with some colored marshmallows and created

Dove S’mores!

Nosh! Nosh!

Talk about a Dove Mother’s Day

Tip: Marshmallows really do not need that long in the micro…
