Dont forget that MomDot is not about contests..its about the BLOGGERS! So support your fellow mom blogger, leave her a COMMENT here and there to let her know you came by. Remember, it will be you someday and you want them too!

1. Congrats on being a MomDot Feature Blogger!  Why don’t you start by introducing yourself to our readers!

Hi my name is Kathy, I’m a mom of three little ones who I’m lucky enough to stay home and take care of while I run my home daycare. I don’t think they know how lucky they are that no one has to wake them up at 6am and drag them to daycare, nor do they realize that not everyone grows up with their mother at their disposal…they never say thank you and sometimes they call me poopy. It’s not always pretty.

 2.  How did you arrive on the blogosphere?  What got you interested in blogging?

I actually wrote a post about that. The short version is that I thought it would be fun, with family in Hawaii, to post pictures of the kids along with details of the goings on over here. Only our ohana didn’t care and I was pretty much writing to myself…and my little sister who I talked to everyday anyways. Finally I decided to switch my blog to public view with the HOPES (fingers crossed) of not get my family killed in doing so. So far so good, I’ve met a lot of people I wish I knew in real life. Is it weird to make friends online? Am I desperate weirdo?? Maybe so, but I’m having a BLAST with this!!

3.  Can you give the MomDot readers a “sneak peek” into what’s coming up next for your blog?  Any new events, giveaways, interviews, etc.?

Oh boy I don’t plan that far ahead. I have been asked to sponsor a vacuum giveaway which should be fun because I love to see people fall all over themselves over vacuums and what not. Other than that it’ll just be more of the same…just me being a dork and trying to make people laugh.

4.  As a Mom of 3, what are your favorite activities to do with your little ones?  I see you like to cook!

Ah yes, the cooking segments. It’s a common misconception that I like to have my children in the kitchen with me. I even have THEM fooled about that. I started posting recipes on the blog with pictures of my kids cooking them SOLEY for blog material. I’m so glad people like that segment because it’s the only reason my kids get to do that and I really do think they’re getting something out of it all. One on one time with Mom AND picking up some cooking skills. SEE…blogging CAN bring us closer to our families!!

Other than that I have fun doing lots of things with my kids. Our Saturdays are spent OUT OF THE HOUSE while Sundays are spent getting ready for the week and hanging out at home.

5.  I saw on your blog that you are trying to contact Ellen!  Has she written you back?  What’s your next move in order to get noticed?

I’m TOTALLY trying to contact Ellen. And it’s TOTALLY not working. I’ve decided every month I’m going to send her a letter and force her to invite me on the show. I really don’t think it’s going to work but it’s providing for some really fun blog material. And really…what if it DID work!?! My family and friends would be DIEING because they know what an introvert I am and how being on tv would be so ridiculously uncomfortable for me.

You know, she is from New Orleans (as am I), maybe I could give you the local hook-up!  LOL!

Maybe the three of us could do dinner together! Let’s get Ellen WASTED!!

6.  In your profile, you said that you wanted to start a blog to win an award.  I can totally relate; I started mine to win prizes!  LOL!  Did you ever get that award?!

I DID get an award…I begged my readers to vote me “Most Popular” in Island Girl’s Bloggy Hoss 2008 elections and they DID it! I love them. But honestly it just fed the fire. I want more. Greedy much?
