we try to do this with AJ. we need the book bad. He is in therapy for sensory and social behaviors and we bought the videos but I think he would love the book!!!

I would like to try ASL with my 14 month old granddaughter because she really enjoys learning and what better gift to give a child so they can communicate their needs and wants clearly so they’re understood. This would also give us some one on one quality time together. She’s love it because she is such a little sponge LOL

ASL is awesome because signs are much easier than language and it can mean a big difference in getting started understanding your baby

I have a niece who has Down Syndrome. She is unable to speak due to complications from surgery. Using ASL with her would help us to communicate with her better.

I would like to try ASL because my 2nd son has a speech delay. Although he has gotten much better with speech therapy, I think it would be a good idea to teach my 3rd child (due next month) sign language as a toddler to facilitate her communication. We went through a lot of frustration with trying to understand my son’s needs, and it would be good if our daughter could express herself with sign language even before she learns to talk.

I think it would be neat to teach this to my 2 year old and eventually my second daughter who is just 12 days old right now! I have always seen and read about the signing but never tried it. =)
