Welcome back to school. Your kid is sick.

Today Charlotte is home.

Sick.

Or at least feverish, which is mostly sick. She said she went to the office yesterday because she felt hot when everyone else was cold but she had “no fever” so they sent her back to class. Funny, cause when she got home she was burning up and took a two hour nap. She still felt bad this morning so I kept her home, one of the privileges of a work at home parent, and she must be getting back to her normal annoying self, because she is now sitting in the living room playing some sort of Xbox game that I know nothing about.

Now I hate when I have a sick kid. A hurt kid. A kid that doesn’t even feel slightly well. It makes me feel all sorts of mom guilt. I hate not being able to fix it and the look they get when they are pathetically curled up in a ball on the couch or asking if they can “sleep with you”. But I can give you a little secret…Band-Aids make everything feel better.

Even a fever…

Band-Aids have this unique power to make kids feel like things are…well…better.

So I covered Charlotte in them today.

Which was all fun and games till we took them off….

So here are a few tips to remove Band-Aids a little more painlessly than I did…(which was the rip it off method..hahahhahaa)

And with school starting, aside from the sickness and fevers you will probably be dealing with at some point, there will also be cuts, scrapes, scratches and bruises, so keep your first aid kit full of Neosporin and Band-Aids for your little one!

If you like these, I used Muppets.

Cause Muppets are awesome.

Nuff said.

BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages featuring The Muppets.  These bandages feature your favorite Muppets characters in their usual wacky and wild poses! They are available on Amazon.com and at mass retailers with a suggested retail price of $2.99.

NEOSPORIN® First Aid Antibiotic Ointment.  NEOSPORIN® heals wounds two days faster and provides long-lasting infection protection to help minimize the appearance of scars from cuts and scrapes.  Available at mass retailers with a suggested retail price of $8.99

BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages with QUILTVENT® Technology.  The new technology creates air channels to let wounds breathe even better than before, while still protecting from dirt and germs. It also wicks away fluid to keep wounds clean.  Suggested retail price may vary.

WIN WIN WIN

Now to get all you parents out there ready for this school year, I am giving you a start to your own First Aid Kit, stocked with essentials to keep on hand for the playground, including NEOSPORIN® antibiotic ointment, new BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages with QuiltVent® technology and Muppets BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages.  Valued at $40!!

I know you are thinking “Band-Aids, Trisha? Why would I enter a contest for those?” Cause its the MOST PRACTICAL THING YOU CAN WIN. You will need it at some point, probably today or tomorrow and you will be so glad to get a pack with some cutesy ones that will save you an emergency trip to the store when your little one raids your cabinets for them.

Right? Right.

Oh, and Muppets. MUPPETS, Y’ALL!

Plus, I do not host many contests and it would make me feel good to have you enter. Good deed.

I love Neosporin and Band-Aids! I have a little kit with both that I make each school year as I know that the playground is going to make sure that there are a lot of boo boos through the year. My daughter loves a kiss on the forehead and then a band aid on her scratch. For some reason, all is well when she has both!

  27. I keep neosporin with pain relief as a staple in my house

  28. I love the Neosporin Neo To Go! Antiseptic Pain Relieving Spray. Very handy to keep in my purse!

  29. Neosporin with Pain relief is the best product

    annabella @ centurytel dot net

  30. I have to remember to keep the neosporin handy because I forgot to use it on the kids.

  31. Oh, and if the owchie is on a finger and it needs ice, another trick is to fill a bowl full of water and put ice and plastic toys in it. Young kiddos and babies will happily play with the ice and toys, and their hands being in the ice water is as good as holding ice on a wound.

  32. When my kiddo gets a boo that requires ice, I use one of those freezer things for your kids lunchboxes. My one happens to be shaped like a dog. When my little one refused to let me put ice on an owie, I took out this and made it “talk to him” in doggy voice (think scooby doo). “I’m a boo boo dog. I wanna help make you feel better.” Not only did it work, I even had him putting it on the owie himslef by having the dog say “Put me where it hurts, ok?”

  33. Amber Warfield says:

I love Band-Aid products. They are far superior to other brands out there and trust me with 2 boys we go through a LOT of Band-Aids!

  34. My little girl went to the school nurse yesterday for a new band-aid and was disappointed that she just had plain ones, no characters.

  35. I love cartoon bandaids

  36. flexible fabric bandaids, seem to stay on longer

  37. My girls are too old now for a diaper bag, but I carry a backpack now instead. It contains snacks, change of clothes, kleenex, wipes, Neosporin, bandaids, crayons, and a coloring book or two. Neosporin and bandaids are a staple item for us.

  38. Neosporin is a staple in our house. I have 3 tubes, one upstairs, one downstairs, and one in my purse. I even use it on the doggies when they have booboos or when their noses dry out. Works fabulous!

  39. So sorry C was sick that day, but she looks adorable in those Muppet Band Aids – they are my 2nd favorite kind.
Love the tips to remove, my skin is really sensitive. I usually soak in the tub to get mine off.

  40. I love the Mickey Mouse Band Aids – which of course, you probably figured I did.

  41. Beth Johnson says:

I use Neosporin in/under my nose when I’m stuffy, it really heals up the chapping.

  42. Beth Johnson says:

I just wish they had the flex fabric ones in Barbie. Or SuperMom!

  43. Beth Johnson says:

My favorite Band-Aids are the flexible fabric ones. They stay! I’ve worn holes in them at work and they didn’t fall off!

  44. Beth Johnson says:

I like the vodka idea. What better way to flaunt your Crappy Mom status than having you kids reek of booze?

  45. Beth Johnson says:

My kids are at the age where they don’t want Muppet Band-Aids. But I’m at the age where I do!

  46. My kids ONLY use character band-aids… apparantely, they work better!

  47. My kids are obsessed with cleaning off boo-boos in the tub. I think they like being in the tub with their clothes on. SO I let them sit in the tub while I clean it and bandage them up.

  48. Band-Aids are the best because they actually stay where they’re supposed to, unlike generic ones!

  49. Jennifer Fredrick says:

Whenever my kids get hurt, our “go to” remedy is to get a “feel better”. My daughter started calling an ice pack a “feel better” when she was 2, and even though she’s almost 8 now, we still call it that. When I went to visit my parents a few weeks ago, my dad got hurt doing yardwork and I immediately asked if he needed a “feel better”. Oops! No wonder he looked at me like I was crazy. :)

  50. Jennifer Fredrick says:

My kids insist on getting bandaids for any little cut, scrape, or bump. But then freak out when it’s time to take them off. I appreciate the hints!

  51. Jennifer Fredrick says:
  52. I’ve been using BandAids since I was a little girl, and that is a very long time.

  53. Oh and the muppet bandaids are competely adorable! Parker is Band-Aid obsessed (aren’t all kids?) so he would definitely like some new designs to add to his collection.

  54. Antonette King says:

Last year I had 3 kids in 3 different schools. It seemed like we couldnt get the old sick germs out before new ones came in. Hopefully this year will be a little better since the two youngest share germs with the same group of kids.. I hate once one of them gets sick, cause it never fails that we just have some type of constant illness going all winter. They just pass it back and forth!

  55. Jameela Ali says:

My kids love BandAids and I too have neosporin. Can’t go wrong with that combo! I even take it in my purse lol

  56. Yep, I do the Neosporin on my earrings as well! It really helps to minimize the irritation for sure.

  57. I cut my knuckle this weekend while camping and used a Kermit Bandaid to cover it up. It held up great! Plus my finger was all cute again :)

  58. I wish there was a band aid for my aches and pains this morning! They seem to work miracles when my kids have a booboo.

  59. My daughter would love the Muppet Bandaids

  60. So when I was little I used Band-Aids as an accessory. I seemed to favor my elbow and lower arm. There are several student ID cards and yearbook photos that prove it too…much to my Mom’s chagrin. I think I was 3-5 yrs old for that phase. But I won’t lie here…if I win Muppet Band-Aids, I will totally snag one for me to wear just because. I still think they’re fun. Thanks for the tips for painless removal!

  61. My husband just had minor foot surgery and I bet he’d laugh if I busted out some Muppets band aids for his boo boos :)

  62. There are so many cute Band-Aids to choose a favorite! Obviously we’ve been going through our fair share of the Muppets lately but Cars and Toy Story have made their way into the rotation as well.

  63. My daughter has taken to calling the mustache Band-Aid the mustachioed gentleman!

  64. Kermit is my daughter’s favorite, followed by Piggy, and Animal. These are all so cute!

  65. My daughter went to school with four Muppets Band-Aids on today. FOUR. Number of owies…ZERO. She thinks they’re like stickers.

  66. We’re on our second box of Muppets Band-Aids in the last two months. I think this box is going to go even faster than the last one too.

  67. Tara Brooks says:

My husband must keep a huge stock of Neosporin and a never ending supply of Band-Aids…for me. I’m so clumsy that I’m always cutting myself. Just the other day I cut myself on the dishwasher handle I was trying to clean. Never knew that could happen. Thankfully, Neosporin made it all better.

  68. I love your tips for getting them off, haha! Except, I don’t think I could waste precious Vodka on a bandaid lol ;)
We have Angry Birds Space themed Bandaids in our house, they’re awesome!

  69. angie kelley says:

It’s sad but my 17 year old twin girls use more band-aids them my 8 year old. Lol

  70. I used to sneak band-aids out for no reason when I was a kid, I LOVED THEM! Especially some strawberry shortcake ones we had. Those were my favorite.

  71. We don’t use many band-aids yet. LO is only 5 months old, after all. Once she starts walking though, I’m sure it’ll be a different story. So far she loves Donald Duck, so I’m looking for band-aids with him and pooh on it… maybe Yoda. She adores her Star Wars lovey, so it would go well. :)

  72. LOVE band-aids! My son however… he’s not so sure about them just yet.

  73. Ashley Watson says:

Growing up we had a boo boo bunny to help when we got hurt. It was made from a wash cloth.

  74. Band aids are totally magical. My kids use them up all the time.

  75. my neice has been using neosporin on her freshly pierced ears!

  76. I always keep band aids in my purse along with some spray neosporin. I have 2 boys..you always need them!

  77. I love the nude band aids. They appeal to me over the character band aids. But of course my kids love the character ones!

  78. I have used neopsorin this week on the blisters on my heels :( wearing in new shoes is a bummer

  79. I had no idea they made Muppets bandaids!! My teenagers LOVE the Muppets!
And BTW, Neosporin is some amazing stuff! Never without it!

  80. BTW I totally love the Muppets bandaids – and their iPhone APP that you can download to work with them. It totally takes my kids’ mind off the pain. EVERY. Time.

  81. My 3 1/2 year old got stung by a bee on the ear, and required a bandaid. When it was flapping in the wind the next morning – the neighbor boy pulled it off, and he screamed bloody murder until we applied a new bandaid.

  82. My son literally will kick and scream before letting me pull a bandaid off.

  83. I also used to love the little tin boxes that Band-Aids to come in!

  84. Do they still make Snoopy band-Aids? I used to love them!

  85. My daughter loves the Sesame Street Band-Aids

  86. Great tips for removal. My toddler is too young to appreciate the healing power of Band-Aids, but soon enough…I would love to win. Mama likes Muppets.

  87. I swear i need to own stock in NEOSPORIN® antibiotic ointment. I use daily on cuts bruises and scrapes for 3 kids

  88. My boys go through band aids like they are a second fashion trend. They wear them up and down their arms and put them on cars and on their cheeks and knees and even if they scrap without bleeding its crazy

  89. i am loving the muppets ones. i grew up with muppets. i also love the hello kitty ones. nude is boring ;)

  90. I only use band-aid brand band-aids. :) Seriously, the other ones suck.

  91. As for boo-boos, we have the green sprout soft ice packs for our daughter. A snail, an owl, a butterfly and a turtle. Cute and they stay soft!

  92. My husband losing our bright colored bag of band-aids caused me to have a mild panic attack and us to have a mild “discussion” about how he could lose a hot pink and orange bag. I need them to wear certain shoes that rub!

  93. I have vintage band-aid tins because my grandmama kept everything, so when we were cleaning out her house (before moving her in with my parents) we found several in her linen closet.

  94. I now have the “stuck on band-aids” song running through my head. Repeatedly.

  95. My littlest learned what Band-Aids are for today when she got a boo-boo on her foot. I can see this turning into something big. She was showing it off all day long! lol!

  96. I love neosporin and “little” band-aids because I have this gross nervous habit of biting the skin around my fingernails and inevitably they always bleed. A little neosporin and a band-aid…good as new!

  97. Since birth, my daughter has had a myriad of nicknames. Boo Boo has always been one of them. When she was little Boo Boo would get kisses and so would her boo boo’s. This always made her laugh and make her not think of the pain!

  98. The band-aid with just the Kermie eyes…best band-aid EVER! I would want to wear this band-aid even if I had no boo boo!

  99. Bandaids can be a girls best friend at times…so handy for all the scrapes and cuts we can get. My 10 year old daughter just bought a new purse this weekend and she said “Where are our band-aids? Grandma always tells me a few band-aids should always be in your purse!”

  100. Neosporin is my best friend. I’m a little embaressed to say, but if a cut is going to happen, it’s going to happen to me in the most unlikly way possible! I once passed out in my kitchen putting the dishes away…woke up with a knife in my thigh! I love neosporin and pretty much all first aid related products!

  101. Really, soaking a band aid in vodka to help remove it? Hmmm… I think I’ll put one on my tongue and try that theory out. :D

  102. jules mcnubbin says:
  103. I love these new Band-aids. I know my boys would love to sport them when they get a scrape and trust me, in a house with four boys, there are plenty of scrapes.

  104. By the way, the vodka tip cracks me up!

  113. I love these muppet style BandAids! Especially that yellow one with the Kermit on it, too cute!

  114. We also use quite a bit of Neosporin, my hubby is a contractor so he is endlessly getting cuts and scrapes and boo-boos :) that he uses Neosporin on to keep them from getting infected and to help them heal faster!

  115. I should get stock in band aids because, although my husband is very handy, we always joke that we know a home improvement project is only a success if he bleeds!

  116. We use so many band aids at our house! Even though my kids are older, it seems like they’re always getting scraped up!

  117. my mom cuts up band aids and uses the sticky part when she breaks her nail way down near the base and can’t cut it off because it will hurt. This way it doesnt’ snag on anything.

  135. Ninjago bandaids would be a big hit in my house with both boys!

  136. I wish I had some Hello Kitty Bandaids.

  137. My oldest is in 3rd grade. The other day, he fell and had to put his own bandage on his upper arm. Is 8 years old too old to have the teacher or nurse put a band-aid on for him? I don’t know how he managed to do it one-handed.

  138. When I was little a band-aid was a badge to be proud of but they were all plain, now they’re fashion statements with characters and colors you can coordinate with your outfit. I’m 54 and not too old to wear pink, blue, purple or even Hello Kitty.

  181. Band Aids are the best “band aid”. Any time I try for the store brand or different brand, I am always disappointed with the quality. Always. I am a Band Aid Mom for LIFE.

  182. My little boy would love the Muppets Band-Aids!

  183. We always keep a tube of Neosporin in the house to treat our cuts and scrapes!

  184. I have some dry skin right now and used some Neosporin.

  185. Muppet bandaids? Heavens yes! My kids would love these ;)

  186. Karen Gonyea says:

My son LOVES band-aids, even when you can’t see any mark !! And I love Neosporin for when you CAN see the marks !!

  187. We ALWAYS have Neosporin on hand! And I wore a new pair of shoes to school yesterday and stood and walked all day in them and got blisters on my heels, and the only band-aids we had were Super Heroes, which I of course, wore. :)

  188. Oh poor Charlotte. Those Band-Aids being ripped off surely hurt lol. We have Dora and Scooby around this house. Gav isn’t fond of Dora haha but sometimes when Scooby is out, he has to sport her, poor 10 year old boy. Never heard of vodka must be just like that rubbing alcohol though:)

  189. Wait, Vodka?

My son asks for bandAid’s for everything. Even if there is no mark, gotta have a BandAid.

  190. I like the band aid product that has that associated kermit iPad app. so cool

  191. Band-Aids cure all boo-boos

  192. I wish there were more of those teeny tiny bandaids in the cute-option boxes. Sometimes you just need a teeny bandaid to fix a boo-boo.

  193. I love the Neo To Go product for my diaper bag.

  194. I have no kids in the house, but have band-aids with cartoon characters on them and they’re MINE ALL MINE

  195. I can’t even tell you how much I love Neosporin ointment. It is THE best on the market hands down.

  196. Um… I want some of those Muppet band-aids. Would it be uncool of me to fight my kindergartener for the Ms. Piggy ones :)

  197. when is someone going to invent a bandaid in the shape of a the fingertip?

  198. Ugh, back to school sickies here too, youngest daughter, then me… Just got the oldest her flu shot and the youngest will be going next week… YAY for bandaids, because my oldest ended up having to have 3 other shots to get up to date while she was there… Neosporin is a GODSEND in our house of clumsy girls, I love the spray that goes in your purse!

  199. I need to find some cute bandaids for the baby.

  200. We got our flu shots on Monday and the bandaid was really hard to take off.

  201. Poor Charlotte, I dont think my son would have allowed me to do the bandaid thing all over him.

  202. Thanks for the tips.

  203. I love Hello Kitty band-aids. :)

  204. I’m currently using Neosporin Lip Health daily hydration therapy to keep a jump on chapped lips this winter.

  205. It is so true that Band-Aids make everything feel better. My kids are always asking me to put one on for even the tiniest thing. Now I just wish I could find a way to keep my 2 year old from peeling them off.

  206. Band-aids always make it better!

  207. nannypanpan says:

my son just dropped his book bag with library books on his toe this am and needed a band aid to feel better

  209. What a sweet way to ease the pain! Muppets bring back such great memories–I’m happy to see that these will bring smiles to my little one too when she has a “boo boo”!

  210. baby #1 due in february, so this is perfect to start a first aid kit! thanks!

  211. love neosporin. thanks!

  212. I got two boxes of Muppets bandaids at blogher. LOL!!! I like them for me too!

  213. My kids never let me remove bandaids. they MUST stay on until nature removes them!! But the vodka idea…maybe if I drank a little I’d be brave enough to battle them over the bandaids :)

  214. Love the tips on how to remove a bandaid so it doesn’t hurt!

  215. And, yes, since we only buy character bandaids for the kids . . that is what Mommy and Daddy use too.

Nothing better than a Hello Kitty or Lightening McQueen bandaid on a 30something year old!

  216. By the way, my kids would wear bandaids like that all day long if I let them. They adore bandaids. WE go through a LOT.

  217. Welcome back to school and MOMMY is sick. Ugh — stupid preschool germs!

  218. My new shoes gave me blisters on the back of my feet so I didn’t wear them for a week. I put a bandaid on the back of my feet today before the shoes. No more pain, it was so nice!

  219. I confess that I have worn character band-aids because we haven’t had any plain band-aids in the house. It is all cool until a co-worker calls you out on your Disney Princess band-aid! =P

  220. We have these band-aids at our house … the girls fight over miss piggy!

  221. My 5 yr old son once wasted a whole box of ninja turtle band aids “taping” together a project. ;)

  222. StarWars bandaids would be a hit at my house.

  223. My kids go through soooo many bandaids. They seem to make everything better!

  224. Trisha – vodka on band-aid? I think that would hurt me more than it would hurt my kid…lol. Expensive adhesive remover for sure.

  225. My girls are really into the Hello Kitty Band Aids, but I like the Muppets.

  226. My son loves SpongeBob so of course I get those on his bandaids.

  227. My 6 year old will leave a band aid on for days. Because she’s afraid of the pain from removing it.

  228. Plus, every speck on their skin needs a band aid. Blood or not. Broken skin or not. it’s the American (kids’) way!

  229. my kids love band-aids, and they really are the best brand, after buying all the generic kinds. They are actually the ‘nicest’ to pull off without too much pain. :) And the fun characters never hurt, either.

  230. We always get the character Band-aid sets – it’s no problem at all to get him to wear it when they’re so much fun. And pain? Not at all. He takes them off himself it’s time. No ouchies.

  231. Boo boos need a lot of love, these band aids go the extra mile, perfect to wipe away tears with a smile!

  232. Oh how I remember the first week of school. The whole family would get sick.

    Those are cute band-aids :)

  233. Bandaids should make up a rap song for commercials. It would be fun to see what they would come up with!

  234. C looks very cute in the bandaids. She could use that as her Halloween costume.

  235. I love the Muppets so I would get these bandaids. But I’m pretty sure my kids don’t know whom they are! I should remedy that.

  236. I wish the star wars bandaids stuck on better! But Hunter loves them.

  237. I feel ya girl, my Kindergartner is home today with some sort of ‘bug’ he picked up from school: fever, cough, puke…you know, the typical community germy cold you get from a group of little ones! Just wished bandaids made the pukey part go away! ;)

  238. Landon has this boo boo on his hand. And he keeps picking at it. So we put neosporin and a bandaid on it to get him to stop it! Hopefully it heals up soon.

  239. Landon scrapped his knees bad 2 days ago. Bandaids to the rescue! Of course Daddy had to put it on because he won’t let me do it lol.

  240. My girls love band aids!

  241. I think it would be cool if they made printed stretchy band-aids rather than just skintone ones. It would be fun for the kids to see the designs stretch. :D

  242. What a great idea to help a little one feel better.

  243. I love Muppets and the kids love bandiads…tons of them!

  244. Ughhh my mom never did it pain free! I know associate band-aids with waxing. Painful lol Love the tips!

  245. I like the variety of bandaids – waterproof, sheer, etc.

  246. My mom taught us to keep a red washcloth on hand. It’s almost as magical as Band-Aids, but in a different way. You know how kids are often fine when they hurt themselves – until they realize they’re bleeding and then they totally flip out? Well, the red washcloth hides the blood!

  247. We can never seem to keep Band-Aids in our house! The girls see a new box and immediately find a bunch of new “boo-boos”.

  248. Isn’t that “magical” Band-Aid power amazing?!

  249. I’m the neighborhood first aid kit station. I don’t think any of my neighbors buy first aid kit items. Or food. Or step stools. Or tools…

  250. We always rely on Neosporin to treat our minor cuts and scratches—it’s a great product!

  251. I love neosporin!!

  252. I like the Spiderman Band-aids.

  253. I bought Band-aid sheer strips at Target today.

  254. I have this little Bandaid carrier that you put in your purse. My daughter was filling it up with Band-aids today. She took one out of the wrapper and asked me to put it on her! I told her not to take anymore out of the wrapper, and put it on her finger. Later she wanted to put the Band-aid back in the wrapper and into the container!

  255. Whenever my daughter gets hurt, I pray for her. She’s old enough now that she automatically asks me to pray for her whenever she gets hurt!

  256. I like Neosporin the ointment in the tube. It’s my go to when I have a cut that I want to get healed up quickly.

  257. My sister-in-law was in town this week and managed to cut two of her fingers while chopping some veggies! Fortunately, I had a box of Band-aids on hand. The box had a variety of sizes – my favorite.

  265. I think they should make Kungfu Panda Band-Aids. That would be good for all my children and I wouldn’t have to buy a box for the boys and a box for my daughter. :P

  266. i love the muppet theme. i think since its a fun friendly character that kids know, it can make getting cleaned up when they’re hurt less scary

  267. always keep neosporin in the house

  288. Tweet #3: Does your child love BandAids? @momdot http://www.momdot.com/bandaids-muppets

  289. One of my favorite Bandaid memories is when Zoey used an entire box on herself at once. I was laughing SO hard!

  290. My daughters favorite Bandaid design is Hello Kitty (for the moment.)

  291. I have been using Neosporin since I was a kid, it is definitely a favorite for me and my kids.

  292. It is amazing how Band-Aids fixx boo-boos. Even when they just get “banged” – no cut or blood – they still want a Band-Aid. Weird, huh? But maybe it’s the process that is “healing”. They sit, mommy pulls out the first aid kit, I put on neosporin, I make a fuss about choosing the right band-aid, I put it on. A hug, a kiss, they are on their way.

  293. We bought those Muppet Band-Aids before. I loved them. I actually went to put one on my son today – but we ran out. I only had an empty box.

  294. I got a box of Muppets bandaids at BlogHer this year. Made me think of my sister. She loved Kermit and had a tattoo of him on her ankle

we love ALL of the animal print bandaids in out home… Caleb is infatuated with all animals!

  298. My grandchildren would love these! They play hard outside at my house and sometimes get minor injuries that can seem worse since mama’s not here. These will make them laugh and get past the hurt fast!

  299. We are ALL about Spongebob Band-Aids here at our home!

  300. The muppet bandaids are cute.

  302. My daughter loves her Hello Kitty Bandaids.

  303. Angry birds are the best

  304. stormyyskyy says:

Fabric band-aids tend to stay on longer than plastic or foam ones for me. I have no choice any more between the 2 kinds, though. My MIL and 2 of her sons are allergic to the plastic kind (they take off multiple layers of skin and it ends up that they need one to place over the marks from the last band-aid) and since I live with them, we never keep them in the house.

  305. stormyyskyy says:

Right now my son has a mix of different characters – Handy Manny, The Avengers, and some fish ones. All are the “tattoo” kind where there is a strip of glue all the way around the gauze. These tend to stay on better than regular strips.

  306. stormyyskyy says:

I love the Band-aid tough strips waterproof ones. I live on an acreage and i’m usually the one feeding and watering all the animals. These band-aids look like they are duct tape and stay on really well. And i should know. 2 years ago i took the tip of my finger off cutting carrots for dinner. wasn’t enough to get surgery or stitches, but definitely needed a band-aid. i even impressed the doctor i saw with how well i applied it.

  307. Those are are some seriously awesome bandaids.

  308. Neosporin is my friend! I use it on every cut :)

  309. We have Neosporin throughout the house. It’s a must have with four kids, skinned knees, and a klutz of a Mom.

  310. Ok, I want Muppet Bandaids now!

  311. Our daughter recently fell at school and scraped a huge chunk off her knee. She would cry before we even touched her to remove and change the bandage. I felt so bad. I wish we had known about these tips last week!

  312. Also, Muppet Band-Aids are THE best kind. Marvel superheroes are a close second. If we dare try to put a Dora Band-Aid on one of my kids, we’re in for a 3 hour fight, and by then, they’ll probably have passed out from loss of blood.

I would LOVE to see some MomDot Band-Aids featuring some of the forum’s best and brightest bloggers! :)

  313. I thought to myself. Why is Trisha covered in bandaids. Then realized it was C. Hahaha.

  314. My oldest loves Star Wars Bandaids

I never knew Vodka has so many uses :)

  316. Love Band-Aids. No other brand works as well.

  317. My daughter loves Hello Kitty Band-Aids.

  318. My girls LOVE BandAids! They want them all the time. They come to me to show me their “boo boo” and it’s so tiny I can’t even see it. But I put on a cool BandAid and they are all better. Right now we have the Princess ones in the house :)

  319. Neosporin apparently makes it worse in my 4 year old’s eyes. I tool off his band aid to clean a day old wound. As soon as the band aid came off…the wailing began. Cleaned wound…wailing. Put on neosporin…wailed louder. Put on band aid…wailing stopped almost instantly. Seriously band aids are like magic!!

  320. Bandaid + mommy’s kisses = everything all better

  321. The Muppets are AWESOME! I need to stock up on BandAids.

  322. do you think the tricks will work for my poor pulled back!? man I wish a band aid did the trick on that.

  323. just had to put neosporin on middle man’s finger, he had a weird hangnail thing and it was hurting. Putting on medicine always makes my middle son feel better.

  324. Oooooh I love the Muppets! I think my kids hurt themselves on purpose and definitely feign injury in order to use Band-Aids. I think the last ones we bought were Hello Kitty. They are so cute.

  325. Funny, Matthew left school early yesterday because his ears were STILL clogged- ends up with double ear infection!!! Wish the band aids worked on that!

  326. I love Charlotte’s outfit! Also I’m sporting a fun Muppets band-aid right now! It def makes the pain better lol. Though those tips are helpful as Owen HATES when it’s time to take them off lol.

  327. I love using Neo on all cuts, scraps, and burns too!

  328. Well funny story is…i took my daughter to her 9 mo check up and she got shots. I dread having to pull them off or remove them from her. But this time I didnt have to worry about it, they came off on their own. When we got home, both bandaids were both on my boodies rather than on her thighs. I was wondering what she was doing when she kep trying to get them off my shirt.

  329. I pinned: http://pinterest.com/pin/250020216784511119/

  330. Neosporin is my fave! (The one in the tube!) I use it on EVERYTHING!!
