Cold Noodles for Breakfast: Nobody gets adopted by accident: My husband and I have adopted three little black/American boys (ages: 4, 2, and 1). We live in a rural town in Ohio (pop 1500) with 23 other families with adopted children of color! We have open adoptions (rare in transracial adoptions) and we have a HUGE extended family. We live in a multigenerational house (grandparents have a suite downstairs). Needless to say, there is never a dull moment in our lives. A year after my own mother passed away (a month before I turned 30) I found out I myself was adopted as well.
