My situation is so creepy, it started at work.
A gal I work with has been insanely jealous of most women we work with. She conjures up insane rumors and allegations against people, out of thin air. Her history of bad behavior caused her to be fired at one point. Then when new management came in, she reapplied and got in due to a relation she has with a manager and other relatives higher up.
This time she was placed in my care and I was asked to train her. Over a matter of a few months her icky sweet behavior became obviously fake and her candy coating began to wear off. She heard about my blogs and hopped on the internet, in what seemed to be her way of trying to ‘learn more’ and it turned bad, very bad. She created false accusations, that contained some truth to it. The truth part was that I have a blog and yes I promote ‘charity giving’ to the non-profit we work at. The rest of what she said was accusations that I was pocketing that money and her list of accusations grew more insane as the days drew on.
She reported her accusations only to those higher up, you know.. the ones she is related to. She had joined many of my online social network sites and connected to me. It was becoming so alarming that I asked some higher up to get me legal help.
The entire corporation is now in mediation with a lawyer. So this stalking involved someone I know, and look at what has occurred. It has been an utter nightmare. I am still not allowed back to work yet (her relatives saw to that), pending the mediation lawyer enforcing the fact that I am completely innocent. All this time without pay as well. But when the lawyer gets done, justice will be served.
Needless to say I have begun removing, from my blogs, which social networks I belong to. I have had to block my Twitter accounts and remove co-workers from my Facebook page.

This is typical behavior of someone who feels so bad about themselves that they create rumors and problems for others to make themselves look good. Usually it backfires and I am sure that it will in this case as well. Unfortunately the people they hurt often have no recourse. Avoidance of this type of person is the first action. Although I know that doesn’t make you feel any better. You are taking the right actions to get you life back in order and I salute you for that.
I am just speachless….
That is so unnecessary. Why are some people such whack jobs? I know I know mental chemistry hormonal imbalance psychological issues but still…what sort of satisfaction did this crazy person get aside from becoming pegged as a stalker and unstable person?
I’ve never understood that kind of personality that thrives on destruction of other people. Does it really make them feel good to put other people down or to ruin reputations? I’m sorry you are going through this and hope it all works out in the end.
