A Womb at the Inn (Sane) ~ “If you’ve come here looking for just another “look how cute my kids are” blog, you’re in the wrong place. I love my little spawn, but let’s be real… raising kids is no picnic. I have the stretch marks, stained carpets and waning sanity to prove it. This journal is full of the good, the bad and the messy. It is sarcastic, self degrading and sometimes crude. But it is genuine and raw, which is a rare find these days. Come on in, but watch that first step…the kids have it booby trapped.”

Life With The Drama Queen ~Small children are usually not equated with college campuses, but the College life is all my 4-year-old daughter has known in her short life so far. As a 21-year-old nursing student, we live together on my college’s campus in a family-style residency. I started this blog to capture the journey (read: joys AND pitfalls) of single-handedly raising a wild & strong-willed child aka my Drama Queen in a rather unconventional setting. Believe it or not, I think I’ve developed the ultimate method to the madness of balancing school work and nursing clinicals with bedtime routines and temper tantrums!

Defiant Mom ~There are so many sweet, see how perfect our life is, let-me-show-you-how-to-make-a-craft-with-pictures-of-my-cute-kids-doing-it blogs…mine is definitely not one of those. Although I’m not guaranteeing you won’t see pictures, this is a real life, sometimes sarcastic version of parenting. Don’t get me wrong, I love my little offspring, but let’s face it…motherhood is a messy job that gets no respect. I’m no expert, but I’ve certainly got my share of battle wounds that come with the territory. Throw-up stained clothing, stretch marks and poop under the fingernails. Yes, I bake cookies, sing songs and am completely over-extended at the local elementary school. These ’sweet mommy’ moments are all made possible by being able to be myself here. So sit back and enjoy reading my non-sugar coated version of parenting. It may not always be sweet, but it’s real.
