We started out this year wanting to give atleast (1) $200 scholarship to a blogger that needed help to attend. We reached out to you all and bloggers AND businesses alike donated sums from $10 to $100 so we could achieve our goal. The outreach was so successful, that we are able to hand out (2) $200 scholarships to two attendees!

We did require that people who applied had no other previous sponsorships, were involved in the blogging community, and had a ticket to attend.

Our first recipient was Clarissa.

Jenna originally did not have a ticket, but has since gotten one and we are so happy for her! Jenna is a college student and was also, coincidentally, the blogger of the week on Victorias Blogger of the Week post. If you want to read more about her, head over to her post.

We can’t thank our sponsors enough this year that donated money from their pockets to alleviate the cost of attending the BlogHer convention for these two women. We hope to continue the tradition to provide a larger scholarship in the future and encourage other bloggers to combine their resources and assets to do the same.
