Wow! Some people will do ANYTHING not to have to work. That is my opinion. I have been large my entire life. I qualify for a reduction. (My ins. would have paid for it, but I changed my mind, so that I can breastfeed my children.) I have and will continue to hold a job regardless of how bad my back hurts! I think it’s ridiculous.

  2. Ok – whatever! I have huge boobs and have my whole life. Really, I barely remember not having them. But, anyway…my back hurts constantly. I have considered a reduction but will not until a)I loose weight and b) am finished having kids.
I would NEVER consider not working because of it. What a huge waste of tax payers dollars!!

  3. Leigh says:

Disability is a total joke anymore – it seems anyone can get it for any reason. My son’s stepmother is on it for depression – yet she’s well enough to constantly be out running and such, and seems to be a happier person than I am.

  4. Cecily says:

    Um, okay. Weird.

But Alaska? Is in the United States. :)

  5. Laurie says:

HUH? Say what? Well a reduction would be the end of disability why don’t the disability people shrink her boobs instead of letting her leech more money than the reduction. A job would be like the best option here uhhh hello. I have big boobs, damn why didn’t anyone fill me in that I could have gotten disability? I always miss out damn damn damn. We wouldn’t be in so much friggin debt as a country if this crap didn’t go on, personal accountability people. *rolls eyes*

  6. Stefanie says:

Ok that is crazy! Her boobies are too big so she gets money so she doesn’t have to work? WTH? Ok maybe her back hurts…get a loan to get a reduction so you can work b/c in the long run it will pay off.

My sister (32) wears a size DDD, has severe Lupus, has had a total hip replacement, numerous surgeries and procedures and works *2* jobs, goes to school and volunteers her time. Does she complain? NOPE! She is a driven individual and doesn’t take anything from anyone, especially the gov’t! Geez!!!

  7. Matt says:

Sorry to all you women who actually do suffer from back pain because of the size of your boobs, but I think it’s a total waste of the taxes I pay to pay disability for this.

  8. Tammy says:

This is absolutely stupid. WTF! What else is new though. She probably had the medical card to start with so she could go to the doctors whenever she wanted and would not cost her anything so she just kept going. Grr, it just pisses me off. I, in fact, work my ass off and make great money for what I do and currently have no health insurance for the time being. I was diagnosed with Fibromayalgia because of all the pain I am constantly in. We had got to the point of me getting steroids when I lost my insurance. The next step we were to take was starting me on different autoimmune disorder medication. I am in a lot of pain everyday and sometimes can hardly walk from one side of the room to other but I have never dreamed of trying for disability. Wouldn’t it be cheaper to get a boob reduction? You would think the government would opt for the cheapest thing. One of my friends had honkin big boobs and lots of back pain. Then she had a boob reduction and all the pain went away. Imagine that. Lord, what is this world coming to. Oh wait. I know a big ole bunch of lazy asses!!

  9. I had a reduction in 2001. My BMI was too high and my insurance wouldn’t pay for it. That’s a whole other healthcare discussion. Anyway, I paid for it, out of my pocket, and made payments for three years.

    Disability for it, seriously!!

  10. I wear a DDD, when I was fitted recently I was told I should be wearing an F! A freakin’ F. I am going to keep wearing DDD’s though. ANYWAY . . .

I have always been top heavy. In, like, 3rd grade I had a full on B/C cup. So, I know what it is to have to deal with huge boobs and all the pains that come with it. In NO WAY does it prevent me from working or anything else. My back does hurt sometimes, but Scott just rubs it out for me.

Having said that, I can’t speak to anyone else’s pain. I have no idea how severe her pain is. I know mine gets to the point where I just have to bend over the touch my toes instead of standing upright (at home of course – not in public). Maybe her pain is bad enough that she can’t work?

I would imagine she is my size or bigger, though. If she is like a D, or something, then I can’t image her pain is that bad. That’s just my opinion.

  11. Rachel says:

I’m not even sure what to say!! Disability for Boobs, huh? It’s sad, but I’m not surprised!LOL

  12. pftt! That’s actually one of the strangest things I’ve EVER heard. I have NO boobs here either, so maybe I just don’t understand. But I agree, I want a check too because of the emotional distress not having boobs has caused me over the years, rofl.

  13. Amanda says:

If her boobs are so big that her back hurts, then her insurance or if she’s on medicaid should pay for a reduction so that in the long term she can work. That’s the cheaper alternative to paying people disability. That makes me mad. I have fibromyalgia, and although my current condition isn’t as bad as others, there are some who have it to the point of being almost crippled and they can’t get disability because they don’t “look” sick. GAH! I hate our gov’t.

  14. Kimberly says:

My butt is way too big. Does that mean I can get disability too? Ha Ha.

I have a cousin whose boobs are enourmous. I know the pain she goes through. It’s not fun and I feel for her. She has worked since she was a teen. She has a family she needs to support. She said she’d consider getting them reduced when her sons are older and on their own. Right now her priority is her family.

I hear ya’ with the small boobies. Mine are small too, my butt isn’t. I want them to remove butt fat and put it in my boobs. I’d be a happy camper then. LOL!

  15. Kendahl says:

So, I’m a size 2 waist and a 34DD up there [yes, they are real] and yah, sometimes my back hurts. I also have scoliosis, so my back hurts worse. Can I get a disability check?

That’s probably the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Get a freaking job and pay for a reduction if it’s that bad. Grrrrr.

  16. Wow really? That is insanity!

I know people who have pulled their pants down in the therapists office and done, lets just say less than appropriate things, to try to “prove” they’re bipolar, which in turn meant they receive a check. It makes me sick to my stomach to see the way these people use and abuse the system!

  17. Christy says:

I think getting disability because of it is insane! My aunt had the same problem her entire life, yet she found a way to work!!! Even when her back was killing her and she was miserable, she worked!!! She finally got her breast reduction surgery last month, after qualifying for Medicare, because her employers’ insurance wouldn’t cover it all those years. Getting disability for boobs is ridiculous.

  18. Shellie says:

ROFLMAO are you serious? too big to work because of back pain? seriously? Can she not SIT on her butt and do a desk job? does she lay in bed all day at home?

  19. Jenna says:

I’m on your end of the spectrum here LOL. Is there a compensation fund for us?

I know several individuals with “back/boob issues” and several that have gotten reductions.

  20. Can I get her phone number so I can find out how she got approved for that?

Seriously though….even when I’m SKINNY I’m a DD (try and find 34DD in the store…it’s a conspiracy) It’s like they’re fake…because they are always the same size.

Anyhow, my back doesn’t hurt, I RUN, I do all kinds of things. I don’t work per-se but that’s cause I take care of my kids.

I know some people are bothered by them (not mine, their own) but most of them are not using it as an excuse for being a drain on society.
