Computers are everywhere now a days. You cant go to a restaurant, book store, airport, coffee shop, or even walk by a park without seeing people working, surfing, and socializing. With all these computers, it means we have to carry them around and no matter how you look at it, lugging a laptop can be bulky and inconvenient.

In our house, we have two laptops and up until very recently, I used a very unfashionable, plain, and not very padded laptop bag to carry my computer. We abuse the laptop pretty badly, since it gets lugged anytime we leave town or travel, in addition to Charlotte using it for NickJr.com games (and picking off the keys!).

Any way I can protect my computer while also making it  something I want to show off instead of something I want to hide is a complete bonus!

I had mine engraved with my initials (which look surprisingly like Tommy Hilfiger, but are actually Trisha Haas). This bag is very trendy, but at the same time, comes off as extremely professional. Its perfect for the office and beyond. My laptop takes up the majority of the bag, so while there are pockets on the inside, I wont be using them much more then cords and pens.  As a bonus, without the laptop, is a great roomy bag the doubles as a purse, diaper bag, or beach bag!

TIPS FOR PURCHASING A LAPTOP BAG

A few tips to decide which laptop bag is right for you: Decide what you are using it for.

• Is it function?
• Do you travel a lot?
• Is your lap top with you at all times?
• Do you have a bad back or other things you carry in addition to your laptop?

There are so many varieties that you can get a bag like a sling, a bag that rolls, a bag like a purse (like I have) or a bag that goes on your back. Another thing to look at are the materials used and what you prefer.  Also, some bags come with sleeves to protect your laptop and some come padded directly in the bag themselves.

I will also note that some bags ONLY CARRY YOUR LAPTOP (especially depending on the size and type of your laptop) and not additional items like papers, books, or pens. A ’sleek’ look is in, so make sure if you plan on carrying more than your laptop, you find a bag that is intended to be more of a carry all then just a carry one thing.
