Catalog Spree: Go ahead, take yourself on a virtual shopping tour.

I am not sure about you, but I do most of my shopping for the family online. It started out as a gradual thing with a few Amazon purchases and then I got into shopping places like Zulily and now I am at the point if I could get on and order my groceries in my area, I would probably never leave the house. I am actually not sure if that is a good thing, but its the truth.

And because I do so much of my shopping online, I tend to get a ton of catalogs weekly. I admit that the pretty pictures do entice me to look through and Charlotte and I sometimes sit down with pens and mark them up on things we love.

Which is usually everything.

Catalog Spree

Recently I discovered this really neat store solution online that gathers catalogs all in one place and allows you to literally flip through the pages of each one and SAVE items to lists you make.

Think “pinterest” for shopping.

Or you could just pin the shopping too (they have social share..hello)

The interesting thing I found about Catalog Spree is that when you click on an item from the catalog, it pops open and then shows you the best item and allows you to save it to a list (think Birthday List, Wish List, etc) or go and purchase it!

Catalog Spree is a really unique solution that allows window shopping at its finest and I have to personally stay away a few days at a time or can lose hours going through unique gift items.

They separate it into categories for easy sifting, or you can just hit the latest catalog to get your boards up to date.

Not only have I been introduced to some really great brands (and catch up on the new stuff from some of my favorites like Tea Collection shown below), but I can create wish lists in one spot and share with my family.

Of course there are other features that I have yet to work out, like subscribing for the e-subscriptions of my fav catalogs (probably save a tree right there) and the aggregation of the best shipping deals in one “deal” strip.  Right now you can see a wish list of mine here if you are interested in buying me something or you can head over and check it out for yourself over at Catalog Spree.

If you have a board set up there, let me know!! I want to check out your gift list and recommendations! Even though I am done shopping, I have a bad habit of adding…and adding…and….

Psst…its FREE (and fun).

  1. This looks wonderful – but oh man! I don’t need any more websites that will distract me for hours!! I signed up – but I wonder if it matters if you are Canadian? Likely some of them will be able to ship to Canada – if nothing else, I can just spend time going along and saving things that I wish to have some day:-)

And – I am in the same boat as you. I actually did most of my Christmas shopping online this year, and now I am pretty much done. But I just keep finding more things! I do better when I leave my shopping until the last minute….

  2. Oh how neat, I love Pinterest, opens doors for so many ideas. The idea of a catalog spree is cute too!

  3. This is so awesome. I get a ton of catalogues every day because Bill & I shop online almost exclusively.
I am like you, too, in that I love to circle stuff that I want, and I even add it up sometimes – then get bummed at how much I would have to save to get it.
I like the idea that Catalog Spree has a wish list to save it to for another time.
    Thanks for sharing. =)
