Charlotte had her dentist appt yesterday. Her teeth were perfect!
Is it wrong that as soon as we got in the car we opened a candy bar? Chalk that up to the bad parenting award I am entitled too.
Mom leaves dentist and celebrates no cavities by devouring chocolate Santa.
I call that “job security”.

Woohoo..I would have had some chocolate too…taking the kids to the dentist is hard work. Hopefully she will always have good teeth. I have one daughter that is always getting cavities and the other one has never had even one!
I have never taken my children to the dentists till this year and I was shocked at how well there teeth are. Glad Charlotte did so well and i think that is a great way to celebrate.
Love this! My Aunt manages a dental office and they actually provide fresh baked cookies in the waiting room for patients every day. Hmmmm, good business practice!
No cavities totally calls for celebrating with chocolate! Hey, at least it wasn’t something really sticky like taffy. I would have washed it down with a milkshake too.
No cavities is awesome! Chocolate is a great celebration
COngrats ont he great tooth report for Charlotte. And no – a candy bar is a good reward.
LOL we do the same
nothing wrong with it!!! Glad her teeth are perfect!
I’m not the only one that bribes my kids with treats after the dentist? We go out for milkshakes!
Nice! I give my 4 year old candy and he’s already had 2 teeth filled. He just happend to inherit my very weak enamel.
My father used to get me a chocolate bar everytime we left the orthodontist (one of the few good memories I have of him) and tell me NOT to tell his wife!!! Now I have to tell you I was in orthodontia since I was 6 – that is QUITE a few candy bars!
Not bad at all. I say the next time you go to the dentist, first have her eat cheetos and oreos at the same time, then go “Ahhhhhh!” to the dentist! Ewwwwww. JUST KIDDING!!!
My daughter would ask for ice cream after leaving the orthodontist. And I would give in because she never asks for anything [sucker!]. Of course, now her teeth are straight AND perfect.
LOL too funny, my parents use to let me get soda. Ugh I wish I never drank the stuff. Killed my teeth!
Woohoo for a great appointment!
Good deal with the toothbrushing, Charlotte!
Awww her smile is so pretty. And no, not bad parenting to give her chocolate. It shows her that if she keeps up the good work at keeping her teeth healthy she won’t have to give up her sweets. See.
Aww lucky kid! what a beautiful smile
you are not a bad parent.
I did the exact same thing! I gave Cam a lollipop that I bought specifically for after his appointment.
glad she had a great appointment!
The dentist would tell you chocolate is better than anything gummy or sticky. They much prefer parents give their kids chocolates if they’re going to have sweets over the other things that get stuck and stay on the teeth for a long time.
