DaniNotes….for your REAL life (contest) CLOSED

We all get caught up in the Internet and fall back on email, but wouldn’t it be nice to actually write a LETTER??!?! Or at least have cutest little note cards that made sending letters fun and exciting? I am a sucker for monogrammed items and DaniNotes are no exception to the fun of having something that is uniquely you!

Dani has always had a passion for paper, design and illustration. She received her Masters in graphic designs from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and pursued her career in Atlanta, Georgia. While she enjoyed her work as an Art Director in the advertising and publishing field, Dani found the most joy in designing unique invitations, birth announcements, and holiday cards for friends and family. This creative freedom, and the personal touch of each design, is why she began Daninotes. Dani Notes uses cool, stylish colors combined with sweet designs – from preppy stripes and whimsical flowers to classic, custom monograms with a modern twist. She now resides in Charleston, South Carolina, with her husband and three little boys. The constant whirlwind of activity and energy gives her inspiration for creating designs that celebrate the special occasions in life…

With whimsical designs in notecards, matching stickers, and enclosures, its a one stop shop to keep your desk stocked up for a quick way to get a note straight to someone you love. In fact, I cant stand the inconvenience to go out and even get a card for someone..i think i would send a lot more if I had them right here.

So what you can win! DaniNotes has graciously given us a Note card and Matching Sticker set worth $48 to give to a lucky US mama. Additionally, if you want to purchase if you don’t win, if you use MOMDOT15 when you check out, you will get a 15% discount!!

How to win: First, we want to know which of her patterns you like the best. So head on over and let us know so we can let her know her most popular. Second, we want to know someone you really need to write a letter or note to and why. We will pick the person that really needs to get that letter out.

    I love the

I really need to write a letter to my bestie Ruth. She lives in Tenn. and I live in Al. We do our best to get together at least twice a year but it’s honestly just not enough. We are more like sisters! She has an older brother and I have a younger one. We have even been told countless
times that we look like sisters. We agree! Anyhow, she means the world to me and would love to get an actual letter. We do our best to keep in touch but she works full time and I’m a full time SAHM with 4 kids. 12yo dd & almost 3yo triplets She is the one who introduced me to my darling husband and who knew we would be perfect together! (we are!) She also prayed with me for a baby through 12 years of infertility. I have 4 adopted children and she has been there for each one. They adore her and call her Auntie Roo (12yo) and Auntie Ruah (trips)! We had lost touch right before my oldest adoption and I called to let her know and it was as if those 4 years never passed. She came down and spent the weekend with us when we brought her home from the airport. (adopted from Bolivia) She also came down and spent 2 weeks with me when the triplets were adopted. 14 days with me, 3 preemies eating with around the clock care! She was right there, right beside me, helping me every way she could! (we call it the true test of any friendship and we passed with flying colors!)She is the bestest friend a girl could ever have and I love her dearly! We met in 9th grade @ 15yo and have been friends ever since. We are now about to turn 34yo and neither of us have yet to give birth. It’s our dream to have babies at the same time. Only God knows if that will happen. We share the desire to live a life pleasing to God and we know we will be friends for a lifetime! I sure hope you pick me so that I could surprise her with an amazing letter, telling her how much she means to me and how much I appreciate her.
    Thanks!

I like the card with the blue bird on it. This is my story. I was in love with this boy during my junior year in high school. He graduated and moved to another state for college. I was in love with him (he just thought of me as a good friend). He later went on to serve a Christian mission. We kept in touch while I was in college and he was on his mission. During my time in college, I became involved with another guy…we dated for 2 years and were married. But I have always thought of my first love. Since becoming married in 2004, I have fallen out of touch with him and I would love one of these cards to see what he has been up to. If he’s married, has children, his occupation…I want to know. Please pick me and I will be sure to make great use out of those cards!

I love the Monogram cards, they are so classy! I need to write thank you cards to all the people that gave gifts to my little girl for her 1st birthday. Pick Me! Pick Me!

  • Leigh says:

I love the cupcake note cards. I have some weird thing for cupcakes lately that might be an obsession.

I’m glad to see that we all have someone we NEED to write to. The person I need to write to is the girl who was my maid-of-honor. I’ve never been one to keep tons of female friends, and she was my closest, best friend ever. When I tell stories about her “My best friend…” always precedes her name. But we haven’t spoken since the Christmas after my wedding, in 2002 :( We didn’t have a fight, we just started missing each other. We live 500 miles away, and she got a new boyfriend, and I had a husband and 2 kids. I would call and leave message after message for her. Eventually, I stopped calling.

My husband thinks that it’s his fault, because he’s kinda conservative about his ideals and her boyfriend was very liberal. Sometimes I think we were still just too “small town” for her. I know we were in different places in our lives. It hurts me so much to think of how close we were, and how I still hold this empty place in my heart for her. The first time I heard she came home to visit and didn’t call me, I was heart broken. Then I got mad, and tried even less to get ahold of her.

I’ve heard over the last year that she’s now single again, and on some pretty rough times. Still trying to find herself, and looking in a lot of the wrong places. Now add an unknown heart problem to that, and I just want to run to her with open arms and tell her that I miss her and still love her and want to be there for her. But it’s so hard to get over almost 6 years of hurt feelings and making up reasons why in your head.

That’s who I need to write to. An email wouldn’t cut it, it’s time to send a letter. You never quite find someone you’re as close to as your first really real best friend. It’s like losing a sister, only she didn’t try to steal your clothes when you were a kid. ;)

  • I think Family Of Color is perfect.

OK, I am one of 6 children. We are all within 8 years of eachother. I need these notecards because I am estranged from one sibling. My younger sister (she is the baby and I am #3) and I shared a room from the time she was born until I was a Sophomore in HS. We were very close. When she graduated from HS she moved to NM where I lived with my Exhusband. She even lived with us. Well as my marriage went to the crapper we had a falling out. She was involved with my Ex and took his side. She made my life hell during that time. I vowed to never speek to her and i have not since 2003.

I think this noteset would be a way to try and straighten things up a bit. I doubt we will ever be close again, but we need to straighten out the inconsistencies.

  • Oh my favorite is the Field of Flowers for sure. How pretty! I would love to have notecards on hand for whenever I need to drop someone a note in the mail – there’s nothing like a hand-written card sometimes! :)

  • Belinda A. says:

I like the Field of Flowers cards. My soon-to-be-90 years old (12 days till her Big Day!) granny lives on the other side of the Atlantic. Each month I write her a short note and enclose a photo taken that month of my daughter. She’s never met my daughter and she has no access to the internet – even if she did, she wouldn’t know what to with it – so I send short and sweet little notes each month and accompany them with pics of her great granddaughter. This makes her happy:)

  • I like the beads notecards. I just adopted a soldier and will need all the stationery I can for my letter writing. Thanks!

  • I LOVE the bird design the best.

I need these note cards to send thank yous to all of the ladies at my church who help in our church nursery. I am the Chairperson of our Nursery Committee and I can’t thank these ladies enough! LOVE this Web site. Since I am a teacher I always love notecards!

  • Kendra says:

For me, I like the field of flowers and the bird notecards. I also love the rocket for my son and cupcake design for my daughter.

My mother-in-law is the best at writing thank you notes. Every time we give her a present, we get a handwritten, heartfelt note from her in the mail, without fail. We, on the other hand, are really negligent about thanking her for her thoughtful gifts to us. Maybe it’s because we don’t have any stationary! We also got a really thoughtful baby gift from an aunt in another state, who spent hours on it. She really deserves a hand-written note.

  • Natalie says:

I like the monogrammed note cards. Very cute. My sister is serving a mission for our church and she is gone for 18 long months. It has only been 5 1/2 and I’m already counting down until she is back. She only gets to call home twice a year, and we used to talk every day. She would love a handwritten note from me.

  • Tasia says:

WOW I’m soo glad I found this website!!! What awesome ideas and tips you have!!! So you don’t know how perfect this giveaway fits me……. I got married in July and I’m still working on the Thank You’s!!!! The only annoying this is that I have tons of envelopes left over from shower/wedding invites but no thank you cards!!!! The monogram ones would be perfect!!! Too perfect ahhh pick me!! -Tasia

  • Leah says:

I really like the engraved with Ribbon note card.

The reason I need this is because I have been caught in the middle between a feud between my aunt and my mother. I have not spoken to my aunt in over three years. She has not even met my daughter yet and has only seen my son 1 time.
I want to send her a letter telling her that I don’t care about anything going on between her and my mother. I miss her and I want her to be apart of my life and my children’s lives. It’s really taken a toll on me feeling like I can’t speak to her because of my mom but I can’t live like that any longer. I miss her and want her in my life.

  • Kris J says:

family of colors note card is my favorite and would be most useful.

There are several people I need to get letters out to.

My dad who lives in VA and needs some updated pictures of the girls and just to know I’m thinking about him. We always play phone tag, but a letter would make him smile, I’m sure. He doesn’t get much to smile about being so far away from the family since my step-mom died.

  • Dayna says:

LOVE the bird note card! I really need to send a note to my BFF, who lives hundreds of miles away and is expecting her first baby!

  • Jenna says:

I would have to say the family of colors design is best for our growing family! I’d love using them to write a note to my GREAT GREAT GREAT AUNT(yes I know!) that lives in Oregon. I only met her when I was too young to remember but it never fails, I get a card from her every holiday and she’s just such a precious woman. I’d love to write about our new little one on these notes to send to her :)

  • I love the family ones! I’d like them because then maybe I’d actually get my daughter’s dance pictures sent out. From April. And my 5 yr old would love to send her second cousin some mail with them (“she’s my best friend”). There’s really nothing like getting an actual card in the mail. It’d be fun to send to old friends, and new.

  • Lyssa says:

I like the single letter notecards. I need to send out thank-you’s to everyone that attended my daughter’s first birthday. I keep forgetting to send them out!! But with these, it would be pretty easy to remember cause it is just so cute! I like the simplicity of it :)

  • Liz Cranage says:

The Beads Note Card is my favorite.
I need to write my mom I haven’t seen her since May and I don’t have long distance so I can’t call her. I’m sure shes mad at me for not writing. I didn’t even know she was in the hospital, and missed my sisters Engagement party. Its to far to drive with gas this high.

  • Alyce says:

I liked the Field of Flowers best too, although I also did like the Alligator – it was cute! Tough choices!

  • hipmom3 says:

Family of Colors is my Fav…
I REALLY need to write a letter to my mom who lives in MI and NEVER can get away to see her grandkids. She would flip over getting a little note now that there is internet things have become “I will email you” its not as personal as a card or letter….I miss the old fashoned days when things took a week to get to someone. It would put a smile on her face and warm her heart! All the stuff is super duper cute!

  • Jamey says:

I like the field of flowers note cards the best.

I really need to send a card to my good friend Mary. She was diagnosed with breast cancer Last year and has been a trooper through her chemo. 2 weeks ago she had a double mastectomy. She is 35 yrs old, a super sweet heart and I need to send her a thinking of you letter soon!
