Day 5: Blog Party

Welcome to MomDots Blog party, where we want to get to know you and have you go around the blogosphere and “play” the next few weeks. Its so easy to get caught up in our own blogs, that sometimes we need to find a way to interact amongst each other, so if you choose to play and expose your blog and visit others, for that, we thank you.

Anytime you answer a question posed in the blog party, please put the answer on YOUR blog and then sign the linky for that day. You can earn entries into our Blog Party Contest Pull by going to other blogs and leaving comments, visiting VIP bloggers and leaving comments, visiting sponsors, and of course, putting up your answer to the question.

Every time you have completed an entry point, please comment in the master entry list for the entire blog party. Do NOT put your contest entries in individual blog party day questions. This post is only for the link back to your blog where your answer is.

Please link back to each party day post in your new post so party members can move freely from link to link and also include sponsors above your answer.

VIP BLOGS to visit are Parent Reviewers , Mom Most Traveled, Mommy Zabs, MomStart, HipposToes, Run DMT

DAY FIVE QUESTION

Welcome to Day 5 of the MomDot Christmas of Dreams holiday bash!  We hope you are all enjoying yourselves so far. Almost halfway over!!!!

Today, make a blog post about what you do to give back during the holidays.  Do you volunteer your time?  If so, please tell us where.  What do you do to teach your children the true meaning of the holidays?

I have almost always contributed to a charitable organization in one way or another during the holidays.  This activity has decreased dramatically over the past few years.  I still haven’t adjusted to jumping from having one child to having three and the twins are almost 22mos old now.  One thing we always do is donate a new unwrapped toy to Toys For Tots.  The twins are too young to participate still, but our preschooler gets to pick out a toy that he would really love to have for himself.  Then he donates it to make another little boy happy . . . a little boy who may not be fortunate enough to have as many toys as he does.

Some of my favorite things I’ve participated in during past years are:

Toys For Tots
Adopting a Family
Project Bread
Tree of Giving
Humane Society Greeting Cards

After you make your post, don’t forget to sign the Mr. Linky.
