As much as I love to shop and as much as I love to buy (especially kids clothing), the one thing I am not really into is shoes.
I know, I know. What kind of woman AM I??
Over the years they have accumulated slowly. New heels for this, new boots for that, but overall it’s a rare occasion that I actually shoe shop with a purpose.
And back in college I hated it so much that my spouse actually took the pair of running shoes I had and THREW THEM AWAY to force me to buy a new pair.
Uncool.
Right now I own casual shoes which consist of a pair of Sketchers, a pair of sandals and a new pair of running shoes. I told myself surely if I spent $80 on a pair of running shoes, I would run.
Bwhhahahha.
ha.
But they are cute.
Then I own lots of boots. I thought I owned more pairs than this, but just these 4 it appears.
They consist of some Earthwear footwear, Aerosoles, and 2 random boots I think I bought at Sears.
They are all fantastic.
Of course I have more heels than anything, which is ironic considering they probably hurt the most and I wear the least. My favorite pair of heels are those ones with the bows there on the left. Unfortunately my feet got bigger after being pregnant with Phoenyx and I can’t wear them anymore without serious pain.
My heart cannot bear to part with them though so there they sit.
And those gold ones on the left with the 4.5 inch heel I have never even worn.
So that leaves us with the newbie shoes.
A few months ago Aerosoles asked me if I would like a sample of their new shoes per month. If I liked the styles, feel free to share them. If I didn’t, no biggie. I went ahead and said sure because as I said above, I don’t like to shoe shop and if someone is going to show me shoes, why not?
Then these arrived.
And I’m like…..hmmm.
Boat shoes.
Like granny boat shoes. Like “I am such a mom” shoes.
Then I put them on.
And I could care less if they are dorky in a ‘non-heels, non-boot, non-athletic’ kinda way.
I wear them everywhere now. I put these on before I even go find my flip flops and for a Southern Girl, that’s a big deal.
And why? THEY ARE SO COMFORTABLE.
Kinda like jogging pants. Ooh, yes, they are just like jogging pants. They hug you in all the right places and whisper “your feet feel so good…do not take me off.”
And I do not.
Which is why I am sharing them with you.
You can go here to learn more about Aerosole shoes so they can change your mind like they did mine.
And I really shouldn’t share this picture below…but I cannot resist.
Phoenyx likes these heels the best….and he walked around the entire upstairs with them on tonight after bath time.
I was VERY impressed.
Then he switched shoes and gave Charlotte a big slobbery baby kiss.
So what do you think….sexy shoes or comfortable ones?
You think my new shoes are cute or no?
(I still like them cause my feet don’t hurt when I take them off, but curious anyway.)

*I think I mentioned this above, but if you missed it, Aerosoles sent me these shoes to give my honest and unbiased opinion if I so chose to share. And I did.

I love shoes! I had so many pairs that I had to get rid a lot of them. Otherwise, they would have needed a closet (or two) of their own. I stand at 5’3″ and a half, so I prefer to wear heels. However, I do like a comfortable and cute pair of ballet flats.
Those “granny” boat shoes are kind of cute, but I’m not sure if I could pull off the look. Also, those are some seriously pictures of P!
I have big size 10/11 feet so I’ve always had a rocky relationship with shoes. All the ones in my size are butt-ugly. I also hardly ever wear heals and when I do they are kitten heels or clunky boot heels. That being said, I love flats and if those shoes from Aerosoles came in silver instead of gold, I would totally wear them!
I love shoes, but after 3 Pregnancies I too can’t wear a lot of my old shoes. I have really changed what I like to wear. Plus I ended up with some foot pain recently so I’m having to change my shoes too. I like aerosoles because they are so comfortable and I think the pair is very cute.
I think they are cute. Maybe a little preppy for my personal style, but if they are as comfortable as they sound, I wouldn’t hesitate to wear them again and again and again. Comfort rules!
I am so not a shoe person either. All my “dressy” yet comfy shoes I did own no longer fit 2 kids later. I live in my running shoes in the fall/spring, my one pair of boots in the winter and flip flops in the summer that cost me like $3. I did however buy actual sandals last year so I can run around with my kids.
Alright, the sandals in the middle in the first photo??? Seriously, you are far too hot and young for those! Throw them out. Now! Provide photographic proof that you tossed them! Keep in mind, I wear Converse or Vans with everything, so I really can’t judge anyone for their footwear! Right now I’m wearing $10 pleather cowboy boots from the clearance rack at Target.
I actually like the flats a lot. I would definitely wear them, and my children would make fun of me and would call me “Granny” but I think they look really comfy and they are cute with your black pants.
noooooooooooooooooooooo. I love them. I got them at Bass Pro Shops. I will not get rid of them. LOL!!
I would say they are stylish, but do look for older women, however comfort is all that matters! Tired feet is not a good thing! PS: P is totally adorable and I too am impressed!
They definitely look better on. I think with skinny pants they would go well while you’re lunching at yhe country club
I do have a lot of heels for church but I basically live in comfortable shoes and own a LOT of Toms. They are hands down my favorite. I think you need to find somewhere to wear those gold shoes, they are killer. And your boat shoes? I kind of love them. I’m not sure why because in a way I think they are ugly, but in another way I absolutely love them. Weird, I know. Yes, I am definitely a comfort person though.
How can you not like shoes!!! I love shoes. Comfy shoes are my favourite thing, but sexy comfy shoes are the best. I like your boat shoes in a comfy, flats kind of way.
I can never find a pair of flats that I can wear. I think my heel is too narrow or something.
Love the picture of P in the heels!
Wow, you seriously own more shoes right now than I’ve ever owned in my entire life. LOL
And yes, those are totally granny shoes that I would have to be like 70 minimum to wear. But this pair would have been super cute http://www.aerosoles.com/eng/product/bec_2_differ/bec-2-dif
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE shoes!! I have a few pairs of flip flops, about half a dozen pairs of running shoes (though, I don’t run, I walk), and a few pairs of heels.
I think your Aerosoles are ADORABLE! They look unbelievably comfy!
And, P in your shoes is so stinkin’ cute!
I love flats that I can just slip on. I had so many shoes too and finally got rid of some. If I didn’t wear them for a few months I figured I could go without them.. I only own one pair of high heels haha
I am not a flats person..being 5 foot tall it turns me off to wear them. But then I put them on and I LIKED them. Go figure.
I love the comfort of them – yours look more comfortable than mine to be honest! I will wear heels if it’s needed but otherwise I’m okay with being my 5’2″ self
I’ll never forget the first event I ever went to someone told me “wow I didn’t realize you were short” .. I guess that was when heels were needed haha
