About 2 years ago we decided to put our house on the market. We had tons of walk throughs and lots of interested people, but no one could close since loans were the tightest they had ever been in decades. I tell you this so I can tell you this- I don’t have a blender. I mean I have a blender, but its been in storage for 2 years, which means anytime I want to create anything that needs a blender, I have to find alternative methods like the mixer or the bottom of a can to press food down.

It’s been unfun. 

So when Dole asked me if my family wanted to try out these new DOLE shakers (add juice and shake to create the smoothie), I said sure!

Because this shake is so easy to make and requires nothing more than…well…shaking, I have allowed Charlotte (9) to help demonstrate how easy it is to make!

All you do is let it defrost about 5 minutes, break up the pieces in the jar and then pour your juice to the fill line (there are 2 fill lines, one for thick and one for extra thick). Then you shake for about 45 seconds.

Easy, Peasy!

 One thing I really like is that Charlotte is my picky eater child. This shake has a variety of fruits AND veggies so I like that on some level she is getting nutrition of out it! Its all natural fruit, veggies, real Greek yogurt and are nutritionally fortified with an extra boost of protein- but it still tastes like fruit. They are currently made in 3 flavors:

o       Blueberry Banana with Red Beet (Blue POWER) Shakers

o       Pineapple Mango with Sweet Potato and Carrot (Yellow POWER) Shakers

o       Strawberry Raspberry with Red Beat and Purple Carrot (Red POWER) Shakers

 

We thought: They taste pretty good! They remind me of stopping to get a power shake at a health food shake place, but better because the cost isn’t nearly as high!
