Dh and I voted today – we got there 20 minutes before the polls even opened and waited in line for 4 hours. I hadn’t planned on taking a half day off from work, but we had to do it sometime and the lines are only going to get longer most likely. There have been lines ever since early voting started. Can’t imagine what next Tuesday will be like! Unless everyone has already voted by then, in which case it should be a breeze, lol. Not taking any chances though, the schools are out on 11/4 and I DO NOT want to be chasing 3 boys around while we wait in line for hours on end (or take turns and risk one of us not making it b/c the lines are too long).
Despite the lines though, is really exciting to see so many people making the effort to get out and vote. I am a big believer that it is both a privilege and a responsibility to do so.
I kinda feel bad, I’m 25 and I’ve NEVER voted, I’ve never even registered to vote. This was going to be the one year I had planned to but the person I wanted to vote for didn’t get to run. I can honestly say that both candidates are so awful I wouldn’t feel right giving either a vote.

I live in Oregon where we all vote by mail. My husband and I voted and mailed our ballots out on Friday. An extra plus is that we won’t get those annoying political calls anymore. Yay!
I dont trust fl at all. lol so I am going to wait in the long hot lines to get my vote in on the day of!
We’ve had our mail in ballots sitting on the counter for a while now. I need to get that done this week and then drop it off at one of the sites. NO WAY am I trusting the USPS with that.

We voted early this weekend so we are glad that our vote will make a difference.
I voted on Saturday and DH voted on Sunday!
thanks alicia, i looked up my state stuff and filed for my absentee ballot stuff today! I made the cut off by 2 days. Whew!
