Introduction to the Ergo:
“The ERGO Baby Carrier was initially developed out of a personal need when Karin Frost, our owner and designer, had her son in 2001 and created a carrier for him. With the help and feedback from other parents the ERGO baby was born. An immediate market response followed with the ensuing development of its own market based on consumer support and incredible ‘word of mouth’. The market is constantly expanding because its niche, attachment parenting, is in its early phases of growth and recognition.
The ERGO Baby Carrier and accessories is many baby carriers, slings, and strollers consolidated into one product line. It saves the consumer money because they only have to buy one baby carrier for the life of their baby wearing years. It is the most comfortable and physically supportive baby carrier on the market. None of our competitors put the majority of the weight of the baby on the parent’s hips which is the most important weight bearing part of the body.
More and more parents want to be physically active and productive during the early stages of their child’s growth. Wearing their baby supports this need. Research on baby wearing has also observed great benefits to the child. The ERGO Baby holds the baby safely and closely to the parent’s body and provides the parent with the desired mobility. It also builds parent’s awareness of their child’s needs.”
Through the Mom Trials:
It’s no secret that I love wearing my baby. There’s nothing like the close, nurturing contact of having your little one’s body next to yours and being able to interact with them face to face and provinge them with the loving security a baby only feels in the arms of their mother. Since I’ve had four kids, my back is not quite as it used to be and needs a little tender loving care, but that doesn’t mean I want to give up or sacrifice wearing my baby. This is why I was so intrigued by the Ergo Baby Carrier and the concept that it was designed to maintain healthy posture for both you and your baby while you wear your baby!
I’ve been so impressed with the durable, quality construction of the Ergo and the unbeatable versatility of this baby carrier! It provides so many different options on how to wear your baby with it’s unique HandsFree System so it can adapt to various situations in front, hip, and back positions. You can wear your baby from newborn (with the newborn insert) until your child is 40 lbs very comfortably as all the weight of your child is distributed evenly on your hips and not putting any stress on your back. Not only does it help alleviate pressure on your back but my children enjoy being worn in this baby sling and I feel confident they are safe, secure, and happy being toted around wherever I go.

The features on the outstanding Ergo’s HandsFree System are endless! It includes a sleeping hood that can be snapped above your child’s head onto the shoulder straps or folded down and tucked away in the pocket of the carrier that is fantastic for privacy when nursing your baby or while baby sleeps or to shelter against the elements. The front pouch is useful for storing all your neccesities in one, easy to access place giving you a convenient way to keep your essentials with you and easily replaces a purse. The back pack can be used as an excellent alternative to carrying a diaper bag and is ideal for traveling and outdoor activities for those families that lead an active lifestyle. There’s even a spot to hold your own water bottle that’s simple to get ahold of when you’re wearing the system.
All these components combined together provide the ultimate baby wearing experience: keeping your baby close to you while placing the extra weight off your back and giving you a truly hands free experience! I can certainly carry my child in the Ergo for hours on end without feeling any discomfort in my back! This is simply the best baby sling I have ever owned and I can’t wait to try the full system out when we go hiking, camping, and fishing this summer. I can’t rave and recommend the Ergo enough to those who are considering wearing their baby and are looking for a dependable baby carrier that will grow with your child!
Mom Suggestions:
I can’t think of any way to improve the Ergo Baby Carrier! Their incredible baby carrier system is one of a kind back saver and even carries an organic line of baby carriers in many adorable prints stylish enough for the modern day parent!
