With Phoenyx getting older he is slowly starting to experience things he has never experienced before. It’s fun, scary, and interesting all at the same time. Watching those moments through the eyes of a 14 month old really makes me appreciate how something like a piece of grass can encompass an hours worth of time. Of course lately its been more EATING that grass, but I suppose taste is part of the exploration part of being a human being.
Family Time!
This weekend, specifically due to time change, we tossed back and forth between the local kids museum and a place called Kangarooz, a bounce house facility about 30 minutes away. We actually had thought to do the kids museum but after the drive downtown and parking, we found out they are not even open on Sunday.
*scratching head*
Why would a place that gears towards kids not be open on the weekends. Anyhoo.
So we packed it back up and continued on to our Plan B over to the other fun zone.
While Charlotte has been there at least 15 times, this was Phoenyxs’ first time bouncing and playing…and boy did he love it! He fell in love with the slides and after a few times on daddy’s lap, went by himself…over and over and over again.
Check out this face:
Btw, that slide is bigger than it looks on that video…here is a slightly better shot.
He didn’t quite get to standing in the bounce areas but enjoyed crawling around in all the different houses as long as they were relatively empty. We did have one moment of a bigger kid running in and falling right on top of him before I could even move. Figures, right?
I can totally for see us going back soon we had so much fun and when you are that little, you try things new EVERY DAY. Loved seeing his little face light up!
Friends!
Speaking of doing something new I have been wrapped up trying out the new things on my Samsung TV.
I Skyped with Lynsey last month which was my first Skype experience ever on a TV (and honestly probably my only 2nd time Skyping at all) and it was so fun.
My only issue is that my entertainment center is so tall that I have to practically send on the couch…hhahahhaha.
And although we didn’t have any issues connecting up, if you do, they have a ton of support help here.
It would be nice to get my in laws and dad on the Skype program! With all this smart technology we could practically eat Thanksgiving dinner with each other in our own homes via video. Not that that would be a great thing, we all don’t need to go all Wall-E, but with families like ours spread apart it would be great to be together more often!
Fashion!
Yesterday Charlotte and I also had a good time together. We created a “wedding collage” of our favorite dresses, flowers, vacations, and rings. It sounds terribly girly and it really was. I will share that mostly in another post, but I have to say that I SWOONED over this dress.
SWOONED, I TELL YOU!
Why did things like rings and wedding dresses get so much more interesting AFTER I got married. Now I am going to have to be one of those insane mothers that cry over the dress that I want my daughter to buy but she doesn’t want to. I mean…not REALLY, but now I at least understand it.
What did you do this weekend??

We need to Skype again…. I am jealous you get to do it from your TV though lol
Sounds like a great weekend! We had a downtime weekend for the first time in forever. Our roommates moved out so it’s just our family in the house now!
Sounds like you had a blast. I love the idea of skyping from the couch. That would come in handy with the out of town family. We shopped and saw a couple of movies.
