How you know you are a failure as a blogger

Fresh off the heels of Dooce announcing she was shocked to see her blog as an answer on  Jeopardy, I opened an ad at Books A Million today and what do my wondering eyes appear?

Me + Blog = Failure.

Im closing this blog and opening something that will net me one of these gigs. I need a PR agent and a nude pictorial in Playboy-stat!

They still airbrush, right?

LOL, so funny, They would have to substitute an entire person for me. Airbrushing wouldn’t cut it.

  2. Michelle says:

Don’t they say “Fame isn’t everything?” Sure you could afford whatever you wanted, but meh, who needs it? ;-)

  3. LOL – the only place I’m famous is on my blog….hmmmm….I guess I have 1 or 2 youtube vlogs out there – lol! :)

  4. Miss Blondie says:

Ya know what?? I can see your blog becoming a movie….or a Lifetime special….or a special on like HBO or something!! Your time will come and it will be bigger and badasser!!

  5. Oh Trisha, I am sure your time is coming!! I was just in a Proactiv commercial, LOL! Should be on t.v. here VERY soon!! ;)

  6. Jenny says:

You may not be on the cover of a book, but we still love you! :D

  7. Amy says:

Whoa – I am a huge fan of Pioneer Woman though. I want that cookbook! I do think that blogs as mainstream source of information are really coming into their own now.

I know it’s not as sexy as Playboy but I think you’d be a really great person to get a book deal about social media marketing, mom… that dynamic etc. And maybe controversy although you never say anything like that so maybe get someone else for that part. Haha. :P

  8. I never heard of Dooce until I came to the forums, but I’ve been following Pioneer Woman for years. She has great recipes and beautiful pictures. I don’t truly consider her site a blog though (although I guess it really is). I think it helps too when you are super duper rich and can afford a lot of things she does…like giving away computers, 6 kitchen aid stand mixers, etc.

  9. WOW ON jeopardy I could never imagine did they get the question right??

Ok FIll me in on the wubbzy dvd I missed that one?

Everyone gets 5 minutes of fame. Mine was being on television in my robe at 5am with my son and boyfriend well over 20 yrs ago.

    Your Day will come…

  10. Ha. You’ll get your glory. Believe me. You put a lott of effort into your blogging & we all appreciate it. With that being said, once day, you’ll shine, as well.

The 2010 Consumer Electronics Show Preshow Planner lists a Mommy tech sesion with one topic being “Meet the Mommy Bloggers” for Friday January 8 in the North Hall N262 of the Las Vegas Convention center. I don’t know who they’ll have.

  12. Gena says:

LOL Ok so we need to get the word out about you a little more!

  13. I think it’s all about being in the right place at the right time. For me, living in Southern California provides opportunities that others may not get. And if you stick yourself out there enough, you WILL GET noticed. Patience!

  14. Lee says:

Don’t forget Kadi Prescott. She was on SuperNanny and Dr. Phil.

  15. Yeah we have to add Tanya to the list and Julie (Dr. Phil).

  16. 1stopmom says:

That is so cool! Makes me smile :)

  17. Cat says:

Don’t forget Tanya’s claim to fame on the Wubbzy DVD.

  18. Kelly W says:

    your time will come

  19. Jenna says:

LOL! Well if they airbrush, hook me up!

  20. First Dooce, then Tanya and now Pioneer Woman? I don’t know who that is….but I am really impressed by the credibility given to mom bloggers! They totally deserve it :)
    Your day will come Trisha!
