Well well well, it’s time for your fashion tip of the week! So as a mom we all know how important it is to look cute and yet remain comfortable. There are so many ways to go about doing this.
You, of course, have the always trusty velour jumpsuits ( a personal fave of mine during the cold months)

or you have the never fail cute jeans and top
These looks, when paired correctly, keep the functionality of ”Mommy-Ness”, yet keep you looking cute. After all, just because we are moms now doesn’t mean we have to let our wardrobe malfunction! Right?
Unfortunately, some have not gotten the memo that when you are a mommy you don’t have to sacrifice your clothing. I fell behind a person when on a trip in Wal-Mart that was a big fashion no-no….MOMMY JEANS. You all know what I am talking about. The ones that come up super high and the pockets are up so far on the back, that your entire rear section is below the pockets leaving you with “elongated butt syndrome“.
However, this is even worse…mommy jeans with no pockets…*cringe*

Do you see what I mean!!!!!!! You can’t tell where the butt area ends and leg begins. Not flattering in the least! I often wonder why do moms do this to themselves? No one ever said when becoming a mom we had to sacrifice our cuteness. So please….when trying on jeans ask yourself this question “If I see another person wearing these will it make me snicker?”
If you can honestly answer “No” (to the above jeans) then you need to bring your husband along and make him be honest to save yourself from becoming a fashion disaster. And if he tells you they look great, then you married a liar!
Now go hurry out to the nearest store and pick up some cute jeans so you can relish in still being a hottie- even though you are a mommie!

Who is going to admit that this is them at WalMart I took a picture of? Hmm?

Hilarious! Back pockets are definitely key. I don’t even touch pants without them!
You are so funny Toni! It took me a $500 shopping spree to get my mommy out of her mommy jeans! Geez was she ever stubborn! Oh, and I’m a total freak for juicy here, but I actually am in love with their fleece suits the most! I can’t stand the terry and I’ve just never found the velour in a motif that I liked and at a price I liked
I have cute jeans but I realy don’t know how my butt looks in them. LOL I know that the person in that photo though is definitely NOT me.
It could have been me…but I’m still about 10 lbs away from even fitting in my “mommy” jeans, 30 lbs from my cool jeans. I only actually have 1 pair that I keep for emergencies. Like pregnancy weight. Not sure what I’m going to do in the cooler weather…better go running now….
Gave you an award on my blog. Yey!
LOL Toni!
Where do you all live exactly? I surely dont want to be in front of you at Walmart.
I dont wear mom jeans…but if we get in a discussion about buts…. that is gonna be a differnt story.
OMGosh! that is SO funny!
I wish my butt was that small! Not mine!
