Feature Boutique: Kids Tupperware (CLOSED)

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we are all probably starting to plan that special meal. What better time to stock up on Tupperware for all of your cooking, baking and storage needs? Please welcome Claire to the MomDot spotlight!

1. Congratulations on being a MomDot Feature Boutique! Please introduce yourself to the MomDot readers!
Hi Everyone! I am a Single Mommy Blogger and I sell Tupperware for a living! I will also be launching an estore for Mommy’s in the near future! I have a beautiful 3 year old daughter that is the light of my life!

2. How did you arrive on the blogosphere? What blogs do you own?
I just decided one day to start a blog to get out the frustration of being a single mom and the frustration of having multiple illnesses. So Single Mom Meltdown was born and then grew. With the support and encouragement from my fellow Mommy Bloggers I started my second blog, Living with Chronic Epstein Barr. This blog chronicles my fight with CEBV, tells stories of those fighting the disease, and offers tips and helpful advice to help you Live with the disease.
I am also a Contributor to The Posh Parent where I write about all things kids, including recipes and fun things to do on a budget!

3. How did you become involved with Tupperware?
I was working as an Insurance Underwriter and I became very sick. I had to take medical leave and then eventually leave my job entirely. I was looking for something fun that I could do from home and that could help me pay for my medical expenses while I was out of work. I researched a lot of work at home companies and Tupperware seemed to be the perfect fit for me. Start up costs were low, they give you plenty of tools to help you market your product and then there was the free Tupperware… now who would pass that up???

4. What tools do you find best market your product?
I have a Tupperware website and I leave catalogs where ever I go. Twitter, my blog, giveaways and just plan old fashioned word of mouth has helped me get my product out there! Do you want a Tupperware Catalog?? Just visit my site and click on contact me! I would be happy to mail you one!

5. What is your favorite Tupperware product?
I have so many!!! If I have to pick just one it would be the Season Serve Container which is used to marinate meat BUT it is so large and air tight, I use it to store cupcakes, cookies, any homemade goodies. My mom had one forever and we still use it. My sister and I used to try to steal it from her all the time but now that I sell Tupperware, we both have one and have been putting it to good use!

6. What’s next for your boutique? Any giveaways, sales, or promotions in the near future?
I will be doing an online Tupperware Chat party with another Mom website in October, have loads of giveaways scheduled for the upcoming months, Tupperware is having some FABULOUS Buy one Get one Free sales as well as Purchase with Purchase sales! Keep checking my Tupperware site, I list all of the giveaways and links and they are updated often!!

Review:
Claire was nice enough to send Lily this Mini Mix-it set! This set features a miniature 8-oz./250 mL Measuring Pitcher, 3-cup/700 mL Wonderlier® Bowl with seal, Pastry Sheet, Paddle Scraper, Cookie Cutter and 7″ Rolling Pin and sells for $20.

Lily and I decided to make chocolate chip muffins this morning for breakfast (one of our favorites!), so she dressed in her apron and was ready to work.  She was so excited that her Mini Mix-it set looked just like REAL baking equipment.  First, we placed the mix in the bowl (if you think I made these from scratch, you don’t know me very well, LOL!), measured out the milk and started stirring.

Next, we poured the mix into the muffin tins (not pictured because as it turns out, pouring mix into small cups is not one of Lily’s talents, LOL!).  Finally, and possibly the BEST part, Lily licked the spatula!

Lily is 3.5 years old, and in my opinion, this was the perfect set for her!  She loves to help in the kitchen and this really made her feel like SHE was baking and not just helping.  This product would make a great Holiday gift for the little chef in your life, and the price is right, too!

Want to try it?  Claire has generously offered one MomDot reader a Mini Mix-It set of their very own!

Just head over to Claires Tupperware site and let us know what other cool product there you would love to find under your tree.
