Because I am blessed with TWO daughters, I might as well buy stock in bow companies! I have spent WAY too much time online finding the perfect accessory for my daughters’ outfits for holidays, parties and pictures. After finding our next Feature Boutique, Simply faBOWlous, my search is over! Please welcome Cheri to the MomDot spotlight!

1. Congratulations on being a MomDot Feature Boutique! Please introduce yourself to the MomDot readers!
I am the owner & co-founder of Simply faBOWlous® and have been creating accessories for “Mini Divas” since 2006.

2. What is the inspiration behind your product?
Simply faBOWlous® began with the introduction of one product, Hair Bow Holders. I was looking for a way to organize my daughter’s hair bows and help her participate in the organization. That is when our faBOWlous® & “fun”ctional hair bow holders were launched…faBOWlous®, for moms because all of the hair bows were easy to see and reach…”fun”ctional for my daughter because she had “fun” putting her hair bows away at the end of every day.

3. How did you take your product from concept to reality?
We began making hair bow holders for family & friends and with more requests came the concept of Simply faBOWlous®. Soon the question became “What other faBOWlous® products do you make?” and product lines have been evolving ever since.

We now have several product lines including: toddler & child tutus (our Petal Poof Tutus were even featured on MSNBC’s The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch), crochet flower baby hats, crochet headbands, Lil’ Rocker Wraps (something for Lil’ Dudes) and our newest product for those finicky ‘Tweens…Arch Headbands.

4. What sets your company apart from your competitors?
The scariest & best thing we ever did was take our product to Market…we are now in 5 Market centers across the nation…which has helped put our product in 31 states and 4 countries in just 2 short years…a lot of competitors remain local…so I would say going to Market is what sets us apart.

5. I love the Marabou poofs! Adorable! What is your most popular product?
Our toddler & child tutus are our most popular product line…we have a design patent pending on our faBOWlous® tutu packaging…our Petal Poof Tutus arrive in “full bloom” ready for gift giving needs…they also make for adorable portraits.

6. What has been your most successful form of advertising?
Google! Our most recent goal was to increase web sales, so we studied search engine optimization (SEO) because even though we have a website we knew that if no one could find us on-line no sales would be made.

We are now on Page 1 of Google for at least one of our product lines…our web sales have quadrupled…and it is absolutely free…so all the studying, researching, and late nights have paid off for us!!!

7.  What’s next for your boutique?  Any sales, giveaways or promotions?
