I know bloggers get a lot of heat for “unethical” behavior, fixed contests, blah, blah, but it was shocking to see someone REQUEST a fixed contest and give instructions on how to set it up.

Prissy doesn’t have a giveaway for a $30 outfit right now as far as I know, so WHY would you pick that particular item unless you are the guilty party? Makes sense to me. And what forum has a thread bashing you?

Whoever it is, though, probably doesn’t realize that unless they’ve got AOL, they’ve got an IP address that’s like a tattoo on every piece of information they put out on the Internet.
They can use different email addresses and such, but the IP will be the same because they probably use the same computer for all of their internet surfing.
All I know is I’m thinking I’ll make my jump to WP this week before my next big contest goes up and I can capture IP information better to prevent someone from tainting my giveaways with any question of impropriety.

I’m sure that whoever did it left an IP address trail behind them. It shows up on any emails, on comments, etc. Most bloggers would use that IP address to block the person who DID send the email.
The lengths people will go to in order to get something is seriously disturbing.
well before you believe the above- don’t go believing that is from so and so when someone tells you because it is not me but thankyou prissy for sending me accusations that it was me when it was not me and there is no evidence to say it was me. For all those who have blacklisted someone because of rumor, it is amazing it is like highschool again and i will not deal with the crap- go find the person who actually sent it- or trisha can say if she has evidence but don’t go believing rumors.
well prissy green seems to think its me- does someone have any evidence? I cannot believe the nerve and stupidity of some people. It will never cease to amaze me. This is just my opinion but if it was me who received that email, I would not accept anymore entries from that person starting immediately. Someone like that has no ethics or boundaries and shouldn’t win anything if they are that greedy that they would go to any length to attempt to fix a contest. Shame on her. Everyone who enters these giveaways wants to win, thats why we enter but you win fair and square..not by cheating. Have a great day everyone.

OMG! Just when you think you heard and seen almost everything around the blogosphere, something jaw-dropping happens. I’m sure this is not this person’s first time during this. And it’s makes you wonder if some bloggers are actually misusing Random.org.
How sad and pathetic! I’m a BIG believer in karma. It will catch up to her someday.
