Ok, here is what I want you to do. First, go visit BOON. They were nice enough to give us the chair, lets reward them with you checking out their site. (And if you really want some brownie points, vote for me in the Walmart contest~)
I’m going to give everyone 24 hours (from now till friday at noon) to convince me why they should win.
Enter as many times as you want in different comments, but they all must contain stories or reasons why you have to have this Boon Flair High Chair.
Reasons do not have to be “true”, you can make them up (ie aliens abducted your high chair) . If you make me laugh, cry, or some other weird emotion, I may pick you. Just sell me on why I should pick you, that’s it. Feel free to use pictures to convince me i.e. big huge pick me signs, show me pics of your crappy chair that you want to replace…. (you can post on your blog and link here and ill check all links). No ONE WORD posts. Everything must be a sentence or more. I will hand pick a winner out of the results tomorrow (Friday) around 12 my time. If i find a few that I really love, Ill random.org out of those finalists.
Go~

Another reason I need a high chair is because it will make me appear to have more furniture.
My son is also getting to the age where he will be eating soon and we don’t have one.
It ate her!…..
See… we used to have THREE little girls under the age of two, they all loved each other very much, my dark haired cuties who would do everything together… and then it happened.
I was feeding my daughter some homemade lasagna… and I turned to get some salad for her… and when I turned back.. It ate her! Yep… ate her whole.
I spent hours trying to wrangle her out of the chair, beating it into the wall, pleaded with it… I even hung it outside upside down for the night… Nothing. My ebon haired princess was gone forever…
Now… we only have one high chair for two little girls. They both love to eat, however… we are stuck with one in the BeBe Pod (Which she is too big for) and one in this old ugly blue chair that was given to me after three grandchildren used it.
Please please… ease the broken heart of my little girls… and the memory of a highchair eating our petite princess! This Flair Chair would be put to good use… and very well fed!
~No children were hurt in the making of this story, but I love this Boon chair. It has been on my wish list for months now!~
My niece is gross and she makes me want to puke when she eats!
Boon was my favorite character in Animal House.
And Jasper needs a highchair with STRAPS because he keeps climbing out of the hand-me-down wooden Ikea behemoth that doesn’t even have a pad. And we have just about every single Boon feeding item offered and all of the bath items so it would fit right in.
Tracyce, your tempting me on the Kuster chair there. But how the heck would we ship it from your place to someone elses place?
The last time I sat my boy in his high chair and tried to move it, the casters gouged my feet (again!) and I taught him a lovely new word.
If you give me this high chair, I will DONATE TWO high chairs. To our church, a local women’s shelter, a daycare center, the pediatric floor of the hospital… whatever.
I will clean up (and BLEACH) our current high chair and donate it. I will also donate the brand-spanking-new Kuster high chair you gave me in the Christmas of Dreams contest. I love that one, but it doesn’t roll, and we move ours around to just about every room in the house. Plus, I have been salivating over the Boon Flair since they first came out! I LOVE IT!
OR……
You can have another contest to give the Kuster high chair to another lucky MomDot reader!
Whatever you feel like doing!
So I just went to pick up my oldest from preschool and on the way there I thought, wouldn’t it be a great tradtion to pass on my old highchair. (You know the one that was already a hand me down and has gone through 4 kids already in the past 12 years). Well my sister in law is having a baby and I could totally keep the tradition alive, but that would leave me out a high chair. So I would need this one to replace it. I guess if I could bear it I could give her this one. Or maybe even better I could keep this one and buy her a different one. I don’t know what do you think? I kinda like the tradition idea.
Also, I will name my baby Boon if I win.
My current chair has a giant caster on each leg that “helps” you move it around. I say “helps” because every time you do, you end up gouging really pretty slashes in your feet and ankles. The legs of the chair stick out really far, and the casters are on the end, so it’s pretty much a given that if you move it, you’re getting hurt. And we move it around at every meal. I think I’m going to be permanently scarred from injury on top of injury. My orthopedic surgeon said the only way to stop the cycle is to get the new Boon Flair high chair, because its casters are hidden.
I would love to have this highchair or any highchair for that matter
for my 6 month old daughter who is JUST starting to get into solids. I would love it because we do not have any highchair at all, she either eats in her bouncy seat or sitting in someones lap. It works, but would be soooo much nicer to have her right by the table with us!
Hey, ladies of MomDot. Lucy here. I’m taking over mom’s laptop while she’s showering. Forgive any typos. I’m teething like mad and the drool makes the keyboard sticky.
So here’s the deal. I’m 6 months old and surrounded by blue. It seems that Mom and Dad think it’s ok to use all of my big brother’s hand-me-downs on me. THEY DRESS ME IN BLUE AT HOME! If they won’t even spring for a few pink sleepers, there’s no way I’m getting a new high chair of my own. My big brother is pretty cool and all but who knows what he’s done to that high chair? Right now Mom is just feeding me in my Bumbo but I caught a glimpse of my future dining accommodations the other day in the basement. It’s growing things. Literally. All of those little crevices are full of my big brother’s lunches. He’s 3 so you can imagine how long things have been festering in there. A new Flair high chair of my own would be a dream come true. Have you seen how stylish that thing is? I’ll have all the other 6 month olds on the block drooling over it.
Uh oh. The shower just stopped. Can’t let mom see me on her laptop. Thanks for considering me. Happy drooling!
I have been wanting this high chair since the first time I laid eyes on it. Since before I found out I was pregnant. With our third. I’m not a Hand-That-Rocks-The-Cradle-Crazy.
I wanted it soooooo bad, I did everything I could in the original contest, even decorating my current, 7 year old high chair. Wait a minute! I just realized something. It’s not seven years old. I miscalculated. Forgive me. My Current, 27 year old high chair. I mean, we’re being honest, right?
Anyway, I had Hubs drag down all the Christmas decorations from the attic, since we’ve been too lazy to decorate anything else in our house yet! Seriously, the high chair is the most festive thing in the house right now. Here it is in all its glory:

Having Christmas puke all over our high chair is the only way it looks half-way decent.
I love Boon products! I’m still drooling over that Frog Pod. I think taking a nice long bubble bath without baby toys floating around me would be very relaxing. Wouldn’t know, though, since the toys are ALWAYS THERE.
Ours is PINK. Really, truly, princess-puked PINK:

I can’t put my baby boy in this.
LMAO. Shhh….not everyone knows that!
MMJ, that is not haley. LOL
Okay so I am going to start our with a true story as to why I would love to win this high chair. Other than the fact that it is the coolest looking high chair and I would love my little Razy to sport a sweet highschair, our current highchair is a hand me down. Not just any hand me down. We first got it 5 years ago for our oldest. However, it was not new at the time. It was given to us by my sister in law who bought it for her son. So when we got it it was already 8 years old. It went through my nephew, my son, another son, and now my daughter is using it. It is gross. We bought a new cover when we first got it. However, that cover is wearing out. I hate how it gets so dirty underneath and no matter how much I clean it it just won’t come clean. The kids and I go out each summer and hose the thing down so yes that bonding experience would be a sad one to let go, but we could get over it. Not only does it never come clean the cover is tearing. My little girl is now climbing out of it and the straps don’t work. I guess I could use duct tape, but I can’t do that now, because I just mentioned it to you and someone might turn me in for child abuse. So if you would please help me feed my daughter humanly and grime free it would be much appreciated.
I’ll think of other reasons and post them later.
Need I say more?

Here’s why I would like to win the chair:
My Babe is two and a half and recently outgrew her cheapy highchair (hallelujah!). So, instead of having a brain and saving the thing anyway, we gave it to one of my husband’s co-workers who SAID she had lost everything in a house fire. Turns out she really didn’t, but I guess that’s life. She took all the stuff people gifted her with to a secondhand store and traded it for cash. And she wouldn’t even admit which store it was (she got let go from the company for other reasons pretty soon after this “incident.”) So now we have no highchair. And we didn’t think it would matter much because we weren’t sure we would even have any more kids on account of my rheumatoid arthritis, which needs to be treated with some medicine that prevents pregnancy. Flash forward a few months and here I am with a bun in the oven! And no highschair. Does that make me the neediest gal on the interwebz? Eh, maybe not. But I did try to do something nice and got a little scammed in the process so I think a beautiful and fancy new chair would be pretty good karma, yes?
Does being stupid enough to leave a post on the original contest count? That’s how badly I have “Mommy Brain” from not having a “real” high chair around here. I went to check out the specs to make sure this one would fit in our Smurf Village house and ended up commenting on the original contest.
I LOVE Boon! Their products rock.
I have to say that I should win this contest because the current highchair that we have is PINK. While pink is very cool, pink is not so cool when you’re a BOY. The thought of putting our baby boy in a PINK highchair wigs my husband out. He has looked at the spray paint that is made for plastics, but I keep trying to tell him it’s just not safe. We can’t afford to buy a new high chair, but hubby is convinced that the spray paint is something we can afford.
Now, I will say that I do still use our current highchair for my 2 year old girl. It converts to a table and chair, and all of the kids use it for an art center. But, as you can see from this picture, it’s VERY, VERY PINK: http://www.angelavinez.com/currenthighchair.jpg (See? My poor boys have to sit at a PINK art table!)
PLEASE don’t make my baby boy have to sit in a PINK high chair – or even a high chair spray painted some other color! I’m begging.
I’d like to reclaim my 4th dining room chair. We got a portable high chair thinking it’d be nice to have the same chair to use at home as well as when we travel. It’s proven to be nothing more than a royal pain in the ass. I’d be so nice to have people over for dinner and to not have to worry about taking the high chair off, and then putting it back on again. I’d be so much easier as well to pull into the kitchen while I cook since a real high chair will sit up higher than a dining chair. It would really just make life a lot easier around here.
My youngest granddaughter just turned one today. She is eating solid foods now and is ready for a high chair. But I don’t have a high chair at my house. So everytime she needs to be fed at my house I become a contortionist trying to hold her and feed her without both of us wearing most of the food.We usually both end up in tears of frustration. I need four arms at these times. Two arms are just not enough.
I should win the highchair because I broke the tray on Logan’s current high chair. It’s not really a huge deal because my “prep” table in the kitchen is high enough for the highchair to fit under with a little “encouragement” and he still has a place to eat at his level. However, it does mean him and I eat here… http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v284/ccswch/blogs/100_5812.jpg and the rest of our family gets to sit at our nice big table here… http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v284/ccswch/blogs/100_5813.jpg I would just put Logan in the booster seat at the big table, but it doesn’t have the straps to secure him in and if Logan was in the booster then Lucas would have to sit on a stack of books and that would be a disaster!
My Rush a Roo needs this. He doesn’t have a high chair. If you saw his picture in my wordless Wednesday you’ll notice that he’s chewing on his feet. Well since he has no high chair it’s getting pretty bad. The doctor said I must get one at once or his foot may be permanently stuck in his mouth. That’s not a good thing. I can’t find a high chair…. since that’s became the hot product at the moment. I’m not sure why. But I have heard they are smuggling them south of the border. So Trisha please help my son!
I’ll start with the real reason I want this so bad! I know a family of seven who just moved to Alaska who felt that God lead them here for a purpose. They’ve had bad breaks along the way and she is a stay at home mom that homeschools all five boys 12 and under and is pregnant with the sixth. They are going through some rough times right now. The dad is a hard worker, often working overtime and works a 2nd job to try to make ends meet. Even with all the hours he’s put in, they haven’t been able to keep on top of their bills or provide their family with the basic necessities they need. We’ve donated food to them ourselves just so they did have food to eat and have gathered people who were able to donate what they could to help this family survive here. Now, just before the holidays, he got laid off and so they are in more desperate need than ever before. She’s gotten depressed because she can’t hardly afford to even be seen by the midwife for her pregnancy and providing any type of Christmas this year for her kids is out of the question, even on assistance. They simply have no way possible to do that. He has been putting the effort to find another job but in the area we live, it’s hard if you don’t have connections for the field of work he’s in and since they just moved here this past summer, hasn’t had a chance to meet very many people. I know this would help brighten their home this Christmas and help unload some of the burden they are feeling as they have nothing for their new baby coming this Spring. I’d be honored and humbled if I could win the high chair for this family!!!
If I won this high chair I’d be super happy. I know there are many ladies here that deserve it.
I really do love Boon stuff. I have their sippies and spoons already. I have spent a lot of time drooling over their items. I am on their site now looking around. I also voted for you several times Trisha and will continue to.
