--------------------
If WE win the challenge tomorrow, ill split the gift card with someone here who leaves me an idea. Ill just random.org
Leave all your ideas in this post and ill submit all of them 2morrow. As many wierd random things you can think of. So if we win the $100, someone here will win $50!
Its only 24 hours so we need to move!

Restaurant tables that are like marker boards so it's no big deal when my kid goes off the placemat and writes all over the table with the crayons.

An easy to install, but portable yard fence that people could put up and take with them when they move. Something sturdy enough to keep in small dogs and kids.

Public bathroom stalls that are a little bigger than standard ones, but not as large as the handicapped ones. I always feel so bad taking the ONE handicapped stall in a bathroom (unless that's where the baby changer is) because I can't fit myself and a toddler in those bitty stalls.

A device that sends a text to your cell when your vehicle is turned off giving its location, how many miles it was driven, and how much gas is in the tank. This could be especially useful for keeping track of teen drivers.

someone who wants to remain anon left me this email
You know how annoying it is when you're shopping online and every time you check out you have to put in all of your billing info including, address, account number, exp. date and security code? Well, why can't all of us shopaholics purchase a credit card swiping machine (like they have in the stores) that would hook up to your computer and allow for quick checkouts online. Once you're ready to checkout you would just click swipe card, and voila! all your info is recorded on the site. To avoid security issues, your swiper would be pre-programmed for all the people in your home, by the manufacturer. This way, if someone finds your card, they can't just swipe and buy since your name is not stored on their machine. This idea could also work for store savings cards, coupons and gift cards. Simply swipe the card or coupon and your discount would be applied. On a totally different note. I think iRobot should start selling 2-packs of their Roombas and Scoobas. Since a lot of people have duplex homes and the robots can't climb stairs, selling two in a bundle at a slightly discounted price might encourage more sales than the thought of buying two separate units. Yes, I know you can carry the robot up and down the stairs yourself, but for some people, they'd prefer the simplicity of having to do next to nothing.

That's a great idea for the credit card reader. My DH has a reader for the computer here at home for his CAC card (Army ID with chip) so he can work at home. I don't see why it couldn't happen.
I also think they should sell 2 packs. I'd buy it. In my case it's not so much laziness as when I'm going up and down the stairs I'm usually carrying laundry or a kid, or I'd forget the vacuum. It'd just be easier to have 2. I keep cleaning products in my house on every floor so that I'm not lugging them all over. I've noticed I'm apt to clean much more that way when they're handy.

How about a diaper bag with a built in cooler. I know some have detached ones (and I have one) but I am always leaving it somewhere after taking it out of the bag itself.

A sublock lotion that turns red when it has been on for the maximum length and is losing effectiveness as a tell tale sign that it is time to reapply. The red would disappear after applying more sunblock or washing your skin with soap and water.

An expandable bra for pregnant and nursing women. It starts out small and can be adjusted up to three cup and band sizes to grow with your pregnancy/nursing. That way it is not necessary to buy a bunch of bras.

Gum infused with vitamins/meds/or whatever. You just order what you want infused with your gum (and a prescription if necessary) and a company makes the gum for you. Or mints. That way you don't have to look like a total nut case when you break out your pill bottle in the middle of church. But the gum pack needs a childproof package.

Grapefruit capsules. All of the metabolism boosting power of grapefruit without the bitter taste! It would be great for women on a diet but without the wierd side effects like Phen Phen and the like.

Bras with detachable cups so you can mix and match sizes (for us lopsided ladies). Those little cookie pads just don't cut it.

"Flight Bites." Kinda like luchables that you can take on a plane for those who travel a lot. The food would not need to be kept cold. Maybe a gatorade for rehydration purposes and some AirBorne to boost immunity. A granola bar, piece of fruit or carrot sticks, pretzels, energy bar, peanut butter crackers, beef jerky. All in a compact little biodegradable case that can double as a personal trash can during your flight (or barf bag, depending on your needs!)

A system to base grocery store card reward points not on dollars spent but base it on items bought to encourage people to buy more fresh foods rather than boxed.

A feature in cell phones for allergies and current medications. They already made a place for ICE, but what about if people treating you give you a wrong medication?

A whole travel shaving kit with EOS cream (it can be used wet or dry) a disposable razor, a sealed cup of water to rinse the blades off in and a small packet of lotion. I always have to shave on the go and my legs pay for it. But with EOS, I can shave almost anywhere and this kit would be a lifesaver for me!

A bar code system that police can scan to id a child. It would have to be implanted, but after the whole model murder last week and the fact that her implant serial #s were what identified her, I'm all in favor of some type of implanted system. Maybe it could even transmit a signal like lowjack...LOL. Hmmm...can we get one for husbands too? LMAO!
BTW...yay for implants!

Home disease testing kits. A kit that lets people test immediately for HIV and all other STDs. Could you imagine what we could prevent if people actually took these and based their sex partner choices on the results? Then of course, there would be the whole responsibility factor. Would people actually take them and be honest about the results? Maybe we could tattoo a little plus sign above the pubic area of they are indeed infected. HA!

THIS is a great idea. But the stores may not do it. It would have to be an outside source like a wellness company or something to get the stores to cooperate. The stores only care about you spending money. What about a point system for stores? If the store offers lower prices on whole foods in order to encourage healthy choices, then they get more points towards a reward?

What made me think o fit is that 2 of our chains have started carrying local produce and putting the farms' names on the sign with the fruits and veggies. Maybe incorporate a reward for the farmers they work with too if the store chooses local.
