I’ll be honest, I was never much of a bargain hunter.  When I went grocery shopping, I didn’t compare prices, I never went to different stores because meat was cheaper somewhere else, I never clipped coupons and I certainly never went in search of free samples!

Now with the economy in it’s current state (and the addition of another mouth to feed in my home), my world has changed…drastically.  My ears perk up when I hear of a 2-for-1 special, and I get excited when the Sunday paper arrives with this week’s coupons.  I have even ventured to the Dollar Store.

I am sure I am not alone!  Are you watching exactly where your money goes these days and are looking for any way to save a few pennies?  If so, I wanted to share with you all a great site I found during my blogosphere travels.  GoFreebies is a wonderful site that brings you tons of free offers, free samples and coupons on products you are already using around your home.  I found coupons on Scott towels, Quaker granola bars, and Claritin, just to name a few.  I just entered to receive a free bag of Sunkist Almond Accents (these are super yummy in salad!)

The site is great because it is searchable.  You don’t have to wade through pages and pages of freebies just to find the one product you are looking for.  By doing this, I came across tons of free baby products!  If you have young ones, couldn’t you use a FREE Gerber Baby Bath Time Gift Set, free formula samples, and free diaper offers??  I was able to find them all!

Another great feature is that you can rate the freebie offer, which is indicated by the stars on the offer.  You can also search for the best rated offers or even the ones with the most clicks.

Who we are
GoFreebies.com is an online directory of “freebies”. We take links to freebies that our visitors submit to us and post them in our directory. Oh yeah, we also give out free prizes to our newsletter subscribers.

What’s a freebie?
Simple! A freebie is something that is free. Freebies are usually provided as part of a promotion that an advertiser or marketer wants to offer you. Have you ever seen those radio stations that give out free keychains and bumper stickers? Or have you ever seen those little ladies in your local grocery store that hand out free samples of snacks or other products? All of those are freebies. Advertisers want to try to promote their products to you, and the best (and usually cheapest) way to do that is to give it out for free!

Is this legitimate?
We’d like to think so. We want to provide to you the best quality links possible. We get our links from submissions by our visitors (You can submit your own link here). We do a lot of legwork to verify that the links are to real sites, that they have a reputation, and that the offer really is for free. Before you see a link on our website, we’ve tried to make sure it’s legit. Once a link is posted, members can vote or flag a freebie. Freebies and advertisements that get lots of “bad flags” are taken down automatically, no questions asked. So, even if we are wrong and we add a link that’s not as legit as we thought it was, our members will let us know very quickly and we’ll correct it. Links that are older and rated higher are much more likely to be good, solid quality freebies.

Don’t want to miss anything?  Sign up for their newsletterEight subscribers a DAY will win a $10 Amazon gift card!   So, I admit, my name is Bridgette and I am now a bargain hunter!

  1. Thanks I can always stand to save more on groceries.
The Happy Housewife runs a Coupons for Troops program, where she’ll set you up with an overseas family. They can use coupons that are up to 6 months expired in their commissaries. And it only costs one stamp to mail an envelope overseas to a military base.

  2. SA-WEET! Thanks so much!

GoFreebies is great! I also enjoy:
    Coupons.com
    RetailMeNot.com for online coupon codes
    Beauty4Moms.com for family coupons
BeatMyPrice.com when comparing prices for a big online purchase
I went shopping yesterday with coupons and combined them with sales and I walked out with $223 worth of groceries and only paid $105. Maybe not as impressive as those people they interview on tv who walk out with buggies full and only paid a few dollars…but this is the real world and saving money should be fun and easy…not an obsession. I hope you’ll enjoy the extra saving sites I listed.

    WOW! Great job!!
