To make room for some of the beautiful boutique fashions, we have to save in other ways. I am a huge fan of garage sale/yard sale shopping. Last week we went out to a local neighborhood yard sale and I saw some gorgeous Gymboree clothing on one table.
Not in Charlotte’s size of course, but if you are willing to bargain hunt, you can generally find some great well known and quality clothing for pennies on the dollar. Goodwill, Garage sales, Salvation Army – all of those places carry fabulous (and in some cases, NEW) clothing.
Last year this was one of our garage sale finds.

The best part is it still fits. Dresses are good for that. They seem to last the longest because you don’t have to worry too much about length or waist sizing.
Luckily for me, dresses are Charlotte’s clothing of choice. She loves to be ‘girly’.
Unfortunately I can’t tell you the brand because I couldn’t find a tag this morning, which is odd, because there are sizing tags. Size 5 and a halter tie around top. It also has a pretty nice liner underneath the dress, so you can tell it was quality made.
My baby Charlotte was pretty tired this morning, so I didn’t do a full 5 minute picture taking adventure. Maybe when she gets home she will let me take some more so I can share those features. I also need to relook for the branding tag. I definitely would like to shop and share this designer!

That dress is so pretty!
We do go to garage sales, but honestly I buy books for me and my daughter the most. Clothing is never that pretty!
But I’m thinking of having a garage sale sometime in early May, way too much stuff that is great and no one uses!
Garage sales are great places to find just about anything. That dress is really cute.

I love resale shops, goodwill and garage sales. I found my son the exact carpenter jeans that he will only wear, last week at a rummage sale for$1.00. The lady said that her husband only wore the jeans 1 time.
