Where the F are my girl scout cookies?

[private]

gscookiesSometime a few months back…OK, MANY months back, a little sweet chubby girl came to my door and wanted me to order girl scout cookies.

Now this particular little girl had been to our house before looking for her lost dog, which she never found, and praying on my memory, I pity bought $12 worth.

That’s roughly 1 and half cookies with the cost of what they are.

Nonetheless, they were MINE.

Now its May 27th.

Even the girl scouts pedaling their wares in front of Walmart are months long gone. This little girl lives a few streets away in a separate neighborhood. I’m going to stake out her house and see if she has a shiny new bike with my, and all the other neighbors, $12 checks.

Wait a minute. Do you think she ate them?

Go knock on her door – maybe she forgot who paid her for the cookies? Just a thought. Kids don’t keep track of these things. And, it’s true, they don’t take the money up front, they get it when they deliver their cookie orders. Either leave a note in their mail box or knock on the door and bring it to the parent’s attention. Geez, what has the world come to?!!

  2. Okay, I was so eager to leave what I considered to be a very witty comment that I totally missed the point of your post. *blush* Must get over self. Sorry she gyped you!

  3. No, they all came to my house this year, and I have the tag-a-long belly rolls to prove it! ;)

Personal experience with being a Girl Scout… don’t not pay your bill. Girl Scouts don’t take lightly to this and they do go after the girl scouts family for the payup…

That is sad though that she never gave you your cookies. Also Girl Scouts are to never take money up front… I am sorry for your loss.

That stinks! It is sad that even children have learned how to rip people off what is happening to our world!

  6. Melissa says:

Man, that’s horrible. I don’t think they’re supposed to even get the money up front.

  9. Im a girl scout brownie leader and when they do pre-orders using that order form no money is collected until cookies are in hand :)

  10. I didn’t order any cookies, but I made some and inhaled them like there was no tomorrow.
