Goodwill is AWESOME.

We went tonight to go peruse the books. We walked out with…oh…I would say 50-60 books for $19.

Charlotte has a whole new library and I should be set for a few weeks. I may actually get off the computer for awhile.

But I do need some purell.

I love going to Goodwill or our local thrift store for books! I can usually get around 20 books for $4-5, and once a week they do a 50% sale!
My daughter loves recycling her books, and we drop off as much as we buy new books!

  2. I love Goodwill for books and the friends of the library book sales where they do kids books for $1 and inch. We always about a 20″ high stack of books for our library for $20. Can’t beat it.

WOW. You did great and got a ton of books. Goodwill is awesome!

  4. Wish we had Goodwill. We go to one every time we are in a town that has one! Love them! Great deal!

Awesome finds! We have a place called Book Stop here where you can buy used books and then turn in your used books to earn a credit. I go there on a pretty regular basis, I just bring back the ones I’ve read and then I have enough credit to get new ones!

Goodwill is awesome! BTW I have the same exact rug as you. lol

  10. You are going to LOVE Memoirs of a Geisha. That is one of my favorite books. The movie didn’t do it justice. (I think I will have to peruse my local Goodwill soon.)

I was just in my Good Will last Saturday looking for books. Didn’t find anything though. :(

You did awesome ;) I’ll have to go with my girlie to ours! We haven’t been there for months!

Our Goodwill charges so much for their books $3.99 for hardback, $2.99 for paper backs. Kids are $1.99 for hardbacks and $0.99 for paperbacks (little kid ones, not kid chapter books), which is not horrible but to much for most of what they carry

The Goodwill is fabulous but you should check out the Salvation Army too. We have both in the city. They have similar type items but their selections vary from week to week on who’s got the best stuff.

  15. Stefanie says:

Yeah, we always Germ-X everything we get from there. Great deals though! Have fun reading in the tub tonight.

Your stack looks just like my stack, and they all came from the Goodwill too! lol I get all my books there! I have the Grisham one, ok typical fast read, Geisha, LOVED it! and the one on the bottom, but I haven’t read it yet…

We got a bunch of children’s books for a quarter each at yard sales Saturday. We really loved the sales a few weeks ago though, when we found a clothes dryer for $60 right when we were about to buy a new one for over $200. Goodwill is great too.

  18. Brandy says:

Oh we always find great books at ours too. Glad to hear it was a great trip.

That is so cool. I always go to the Goodwill and Thrift stores to get books. Another great place is the public library. They sell books that are withdrawn for super cheap.

I agree on the sanitizer. Each time I go, I can’t stop sneezing. It’s a small price to pay for a great vintage find.

Wow you did great! I keep meaning to go to ours…
