Fall blew in tonight making it official that the coats have to stay on the racks and no more bare feet down the driveway. We have already dealt with colds this season and that was enough for my family of 4. Ill be happy if they stay away till next October again, thank you very much. Now last year Phoenyx was super tiny and the costumers were very limited. He went as a cow which was about as interesting as I could get for a kid that just lays there in a stroller.
Charlotte on the other hand went as Super girl! Which ended up being totally ironic considering we got 3 streets in before she was in her room puking for the rest of the night and Halloween was a total bust. You can imagine her excitement this year to be able to get a second chance for some serious Halloweening in.
And with any luck we will see scary smoking Halloween Lady again.
Charlotte takes Halloween seriously and when asked what she wanted to be, she tossed between a bride and a cowgirl for quite a few weeks. After a few trips around town, I finally settled online and found her a perfect bride costume on the Disney Store Online (or local Disney Store Closed) which she was majorly excited to get. While pricey, it wasn’t our first trip down Disney Lane for a costume. In the past she has been Captain Hook
and Belle
both Disney Deluxe costumes.
So here is her costume for this year, a Disney Cinderella Wedding Costume and it is giving me a serious look into the future:
Of course with the new Cinderella movie out October 2nd (all digitally remastered and all that jazz) she picked out the perfect costume this year. My baby may be growing up and dreaming of being a Princess Bride (married to Justin Bieber of course) but she isn’t too old to plop in front of the TV with a bowl of popcorn and sing A Dream is a Wish your Heart Makes…
And truth be told, neither am I…
The “Cinderella: Diamond Edition,” with its spellbinding storyline, memorable music, unforgettable characters and spectacular animation, sparkles like never before with a wide-array of bonus features that extend the viewing experience for the whole family to enjoy including never-before-seen material, family-friendly interactive activities, games and more.

Now P…he was actually harder than I thought. This is the last year I get to pick out his costume FOR him so I have been pouring over everything. I have a feeling this Halloween is going to be pretty cool judging by the weather today, so I had to keep that in mind. He also wont keep anything on his head longer than 2 seconds. I eventually ordered him a flight suit and patches that matched his dads from the time he was in the service.
I am thinking of going back and adding a jacket too. He can continue to wear it all fall.
I don’t have a picture of it yet because I just bought it Saturday and am eagerly awaiting its arrival!
I guess I am the last one. I am kinda tossed between a 50′s wife, a cupcake, and a pin up something or another. The past two Halloweens I have been a marine and the Queen of Hearts.
What are your kids going to be? What about you?

*cinderella movie sample

That bride costume is so beautiful! I love that it is the Cinderella version! That is my favorite Princess movie
.
P is going to look so cute as well!!! I think a bomber jacket will be a perfect finish for it! He will look very Top Gun!
My oldest is going as a fairy (she’s 12). My 4 year old is going as Red Riding Hood. I crocheted her costume as a hooded poncho. It was a lot of work, but it looks absolutely perfect!
Now I rarely dress up, but my daughter wants me to be the big bad wolf so I can chase little red riding hood. I am thinking granny wig and granny glasses. Not sure what If I want to see that glimpse into MY future though!
What are the details on the belle costume? I’ve never seen that version before (and I’m a bit of a Disney princess costume snob!) what year was it? Was it a special edition or wedding version? I’ve seen a similar one on eBay recently but the gold at the neckline is kind of wonky (cuts across the bedazzle)… Is that how yours was, too? Thinking this could be a great dress for upcoming trip to Disney. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
My daughter is 7 and she was about 4 when that was done…so i would say approx 3-4 years ago. It was a deluxe costume. The neckline was perfect. Its a BEAUTIFUL dress.
Trisha I can’t lie her Belle and Cinderella Bride costumes caught my breath. She’s beautiful and I can’t wait to see P’s costume! How neat that you got the patches to match!
I’m not sure with Owen. He wants to be a zombie something. We’re thinking of reusing his zombie mask from when he was a Zombie doctor and putting it together with the Army pants/jacket that my brother bought him for Christmas last year. I’m hoping to find a cheap toy gun he can throw over his shoulder to pull it together lol.
Ah the smoking Halloween Lady LOL I remember her
I love Charlotte’s costume it’s beautiful on her. This year kiddo will probably dress up as Snow White. Last year she went between Little Mermaid and Belle she couldn’t decide LOL and since we had them both she wore one to school party and another trick or treating.
As for me I still have no clue.
You did the 50′s look perfectly a few weeks ago, I think you should show off that talent to the neighborhood. I even saw poodle skirts on eBay really cheap.
I have the neck brace this year, everyone is coming up with strange ideas based off of that. We shall see.
