How much longer can Charlottes prayers get?

[private]

poemsheaderEvery night Charlotte prays before she goes to bed. Every week it seems to add on MORE and MORE people and things. If she forgets something, Chris corrects her. This is me GROANING during the 15 minute prayer session last night. When you start to bless the walls and the paint,  I have had enough.

  1. Lauralee Hensley says:

    Ahhh kids, gotta love ‘em.

  2. Kit says:

My daughter wants to bless all of her stuffed animals (of which she has many) we bless them collectively instead of individually. We also have to bless all of our brothers & sisters in Scouting & Christ (sweet) all the animals at the Humane Society (may they all find loving homes), the homeless people (we help out at a local food bank), she asks God to keep the bees away from her at school. I mean they are just so creative and thoughtful, how can you stop them?

  3. That is funny! My daughter is just starting to ask for God to bless stuff. I am sure the list will be an hour long in no time, considering she now has imaginary friends.

Is it normal to have imaginary friends at age 4?

  4. That is just too darn cute. My girls try doing the same before bed as well.

  5. That is so cute. My stall by asking for a drink, going to the bathroom, making sure all the animals are there and you have to give high 5′s.

  6. Sarah says:

That happens here too, but my three year old insists that we repeat every line. Along with blessing everyone he can think of he includes really interesting things like “please don’t let my hair get messed up and please help me to go to the park”.

If you refuse to repeat something (and it must be verbatim) then he turns into a sobbing mess. Fun stuff!

  7. Andrea says:

LOL Too cute! The only thing my son has ever prayed for is a baby. Eeeek!

  8. amber says:

Don’t you just LOVE that!? Every night we ask LJ who he would like to pray for and it always surprises us who is on his mind. They are so thoughtful. Way to go Mommy & Daddy! You’re training your little lady wonderful things!

  9. Melissa says:

  13. Marianna says:

I was thinking the same thing about mommy and daddy being last! Isn’t that always the way it goes? But at least she has a big caring heart. What a sweetie.

  14. girlydos says:
