Last week I bought a book from blogger Kori at Hairstyles for Girls (The story of a Princess and her hair). That’s “bought” as in paid for and no disclosure needed. LOL!
If you have never been to her blog, you are totally missing out and you must go. Kori has long been one of my favorite bloggers as her very niche area showcases some amazing hairstyles for girls. She creates them along with instructions and pictures of her (very patient) daughter modeling them. It’s all around a very fun site.
Charlotte has extremely long hair and as a child of almost 5, she isn’t the best at wanting to sit there to get it done. As soon as I bought this book and she got to see all the pretty hairstyles modeled by Kori’s daughter, she was all about it! I had fully intended on making this a Christmas present, but I could not resist starting early.
This week it has been heaven keeping her hair pulled back. I am not nearly as good as Kori and I can’t even french braid. In fact, I still need classes on how to create the parts as perfect as she gets them. But we went out and bought a few bags of the mini hair bands, bobby pins, and butterfly clips and I have faith I am going to master some of these styles.
I wanted to share an adapted style I did from her book this evening before Charlotte went to bed. Check out Charlotte rocking this look:
I asked Kori if I could share her post on her new book and she said yep, so here is the information if you are interested in checking it out.

The Princess and I chose 15 of our favorite hairstyles from the blog, and 1 more hairstyle we love that hasn’t been posted. So, 16 total hairdos. The book is 8 1/2″x 11″ and 66 pages long (all in color on quality paper.) Of course I included step by step pictures and written instructions for each hairstyle (just like the blog.) We also made sure to pick out a binding that can lay flat on the counter so that the pages aren’t giving you trouble while you’re trying to do hair.
This would make a nice Christmas gift for a princess! I did my best to keep the costs down so that anyone who wants a book will be able to afford it.
From now until Christmas, these books will be on sale for only $16.99. If you want more than one book, I will combine the shipping to save you shipping costs as well.
I’ve had a few people ask about shipping internationally. I would be happy to, but the shipping costs may be a little more. If you are interested in purchasing and you don’t live in the U.S. or Canada, email me your address and I can send you a price for shipping. I will ship to Canada for the price listed. Thanks! hair4myprincess at yahoo dot com.

You can also just check out her blog for other really creative hairstyles.

Love this – thanks so much!
Can’t wait till Sarah has enough hair/long enough hair that I can do those styles! Right now 1/2 piggies is about it for us… Charlotte’s hair is gorgeous – you did a great job!
I wanna get this for my girls now!!! So awesome! But my girls’ hair is nowhere near as long as Charlotte’s. Not even close. Sigh.
Trisha you did a great job! I love Kori’s blog and I just wish I had a girl’s hair to do other than my own ha!
I love her site! We have tried a bunch of different styles!
Great Job!
I am sure you will get better the more you do it.
It just makes me get all teary eyed… I always wanted a little girl… wwaahhhh
running outta chance PDQ if the younger son & dil don’t start making babies soon!
Awesome job Trisha! She looks so darn adorable!
Wow, very details pattern to her hair. Good job! I don’t think I could get my 10YO to sit that long to do that to her hair.
you did a great job Trisha
Charlotte’s hair looks great! I love this site.. now I just need a little girl!!
Aw Trisha, Charlotte looks darling!! I’m so glad you are enjoying the book!! I’m blushing over here, you are too sweet.
I bought this book last week too. Kori is awesome and the book is fantastic!
Wow, it looks great! How long did that take?
10 minutes! I bet w/ better parts it would take longer but charlotte has a lot of cowlicks, so its kinda hard .
Trisha , Charlotte looks adorable. I can’t wait till my girl’s hair is a little long and hopefully will get a little thicker. I have been doing little braids and things to get her use to sitting still though. I didn’t even know Kori made a book out of some of her blog. I will be ordering a few one for me and one for a few friends !
