Who wants to come over for a hurricane party?

Surprise! Hurricane in November!

This is where New Orleans prays it hits Pensacola and Pensacola prays it hits Apalachicola and Apalachicola prays it hits Alabama.

I just pray I don’t lose cable and internet for a week.

We moved into the mountains within the past year and regularly get winds of 75 to 90 mph, though there are no rains with this. Stay safe and buy earplugs so you don’t go crazy from the sound of constant wind! My aunt used to build a tent in the living room and use batter lanterns etc to make it a more “calm” adventure for the kids.

This could be my first hit from a hurricane since moving to Florida! I’m right there with you, as long as I have power and internet, I’ll be fine!

Wow! I remember those!! I was born in Kissimmee, Florida and grew up in North Fort Myers, Florida –> so I understand. Whenever Charley hit, we lost power for 11 days. uhggg.. hottt!
I hope everything ends up well.

We are so close my dear!!! I am just North of Tallahassee so we may see some weather but they usually fizzle out before they get to us… although there was this one time… Hurricane Faye… lets just say we discovered that we can all get along pretty well with no power for four days and a Jeep destroyed by a pine tree.. yep we were in it!!!

I don’t know when hurricane season got extended past November 1st but I wish they wouldn’t have done that. Stay safe. I always hope that it comes close enough to Houston so I can evacuate and get a few days off from work but far enough away so that there isn’t any real damage to worry about.

I was wondering if any of my Twitter friends were in this projected path. Living in Iowa we don’t have hurricanes, but we can get remnants of hurricanes- large amounts of rain. The Weatherman- someone we all can have the perfect love/hate relationship with! Love him one day, hate him the next! I’d say go for it- a Hurricane Party- at least you might as well have some family/friends togetherness out of it! Hope it diminishes in size and does not cause too many problems for too many people.
