I am a bad, bad parent

Charlotte got her head stuck in one of those look through wood things at the zoo today. Instead of looking through it, she put her head all the way in.

And got stuck.

The best part?

We were all standing off to the side not really paying attention and she was too embarrassed to ask for help. Then my dad looks over and sees her and she got really upset because her pride was hurt.

He had to finagle her out of it.

What do I do?

Take a picture of course.

My parents told me if I posted this it would live on the internet for infinity and when she was 18, she would get to see it again.

I personally think that’s the best part.

  1. Ok if they know kids are going to be sticking their heads there maybe they should make the opening a little bigger. Love it, I would have posted it too!

  2. What a good mommy blogger!!
That’s exactly what all of us would have done!

Obviously she didn’t call for help because she knew you’d just take a picture of her in her embarrassing predicament. LOL

Too bad you hadn’t warned her not to put her head in, then the picture would be evidence that Mom knows best. :-)

I totally would have taken a picture and posted it too ha ha.

  5. LOL…Yep! I would have taken a picture and posted it too. Good call. :)

OMG Poor Charlotte! It is hilarious though. Tell her at least you didn’t have to cover her face and head in butter in order to squeeze her out! I think it makes a great picture and an even better memory. She’ll look back on this one day and pee her pants laughing.

Oh gosh how funny! I have a habit of taking photos of ANY kind of moment lol. We had a weekend of Bad Mothering here as well though in my defense Owen never cried so I didn’t think it was that bad lol.

My son’s head is like in the 90th percentile, so now I’m going to have to heed the warning of Charlotte and tell him beware of the head cut out thingamajigs!

–>I think I would have laughed, taken a picture and then made sure she was okay – in that order. ha!
