I married a girl.

Two days ago, my husband started looking up hair cuts on the Internet. Yep. I was working that night and he kept saying “what about this one”, while I shook my head, yep, uh huh, fine. (do i really care? I mean, his hair is like 1/3rd of an inch long…its not like there are tons of amazing options)

Low and behold he comes home yesterday with a haircut. (Or so he says- he looks about the damn same to me) He said he printed off a picture of the hair cut he wanted….and took it to the salon. Do your DHs do that? Or is mine special. Now he tells me..he is growing it out like Tom Cruise and it will take two weeks. Its a “process”.

This is what is REALLY going to happen:

1) he will cut it in like a week himself, thereby waisting the money he spent getting someone else to ‘trim’ it. He was in the military almost 7 years and had a short hair cut every 2 weeks…there is no way in hell he is going to have man bangs now

2) he will find a new style he likes and go get it recut for THAT style..it will end up looking terrible because the salon girl will not have his vision and he will…you guessed it, cut it himself, when he gets home, waisting TWO salon trips and haircut money. In fact, by the time he is done, not getting what he wanted, we would have saved enough money to rebuy clippers for him to use on himself.

So here we go. Here is the picture he took with him. Here is him now. Here is Tom Cruise. Let the two week countdown begin.

The hair cut “shot” – Secretly, I think my DH wants to look like this kid. He is about, oh…18? I hope.

My Dh: I asked him to pose for this shot…we took about 15 before he agreed to let me use this one. Flatter him. He lets me torture him for entertainment. This is a fake smile.

Here is good ole Tom. He is starting to become MomDots mascot…hey. Wait. It just occured to me. You don’t think my DH is having regression here, right?

  1. Hillarious! He’s a pretty close match to that photo, I must say! You’re one lucky lady!

Ok, scary at how similar your husband looks to that first guy. They could be long lost twins or something.

And, please tell DH not to do anything like Tom. He looked good around those Top Gun days, but boy, he has not aged well. And mental? Yes.

I love the high and tight look. It’s the only way to go. And I know, I do that cut once a week for my DH.

lol can’t say my husband ever took a picture with him to the salon! Your husband looks great. And I totally laughed at reading the words “man bags”!!

  4. We should check for symptoms…

~has he started jumping on the furniture?
    ~taken you to Paris?
    ~new zillion carat ring?

You may be in the all clear. hee hee

Your hubby is a cutie! IMO, they get better with age ;) ….

My dh doesn’t go to a salon any more. He did when I first met him.. but eventually it just died out some. Now, he cuts it himself – just a quick buzz and he’s done.

  6. Tina says:

Remember Trisha, he’s not gay, he’s european LOL. Chris is like my DH, after being in th military for so long, they can’t stand “long” hair. It looks good the way he has it now, maybe he can keep it like that. I do wonder though what his recent infatuation with Tom is though…hopefully he’s not looking into scientology too jk lol.

  7. OMG…DH just corrected me:

He’s been going to Monica for TWENTY-FOUR years!

    Unbelievable.

  8. Man bangs? That’s too funny!

My man is such a baby, he has been with the same girl for 22 years. I am not kidding.

He will NOT cheat on her. She could be on vacation for a month and he’ll have hair down to his ass…and he’ll just wait!

Deep down, men are totally worse than women!

LOL. He’s not a girl…I believe the term they use now is metrosexual. Although I don’t think he’d appreciate that. My hubby actually lets me cut his hair, short one length all the way around with the clippers. I’ve considered leaving him with a faux-hawk just for kicks. He doesn’t put a lot of thought in his styling options, he just knows when it gets bushy, he needs it cut. Your hubby is a handsome guy, tell him not to sweat it. Getting his hair to look like Tom Cruise in Top Gun…that will be an interesting transition.

    That’s hilarious!

    And, I’ll agree with you…he’s a hottie!

  11. Jessica says:

LOL What a girl.. LOL He’s too funny, and no my hubby doesn’t do that, he cuts his hiself.

I think Chris could pull that hairdo off *IF* he could stand to let it grow.

  12. Aw, your hubby is a hottie! He looks great!

My hubby went to shave his own hair two weeks ago and nicked it so he had to shave it bald – with a bic razor! Thank GOD is grew back fast. It was quite hilarious.
