I always wash the laundry.
I hate, hate, HATE to fold it. It actually sits so long in the baskets that it piles up until every pair of underwear in the house is in there and we are forced to put it away. Generally my Dh is the first one to cave and fold. I would rather by new stuff than fold laundry.
I have a strong will.
Earlier today I asked him to change the washer clothes to the dryer; which he did. While he was switching them, he found a $5 bill in the washing machine.
Then he said he would be doing more laundry from now on since he found money. Although annoyed, I let him have it…even though TECHNICALLY it should have been mine since I asked him to switch it. (Rule: Whoever does the laundry gets to keep the money they find in it).
So the day goes on, I switch the laundry, run another load, throw clean laundry in infamous pile and he starts to fold it.
And finds a $10 bill.
WTF!!!!
Now he is walking around here like he won the lotto and stuck them both in his wallet.
Whose laundry money is it?

If my husband folded the laundry he could keep it. I say that because I know it will never happen; I have a better chance at winning the lottery.
So sorry but it’s his. Hands down. When I do laundry I keep the money
But actually in our house my husband is better than me at getting it from start to finish. I hate laundry AND folding!
Small price to pay to have him do the laundry, lol
I’d be pretty annoyed too…yeah i’d want the money so I’m gonna side with you on this one, however….I’m still single, so it may not be the best advice! LOL!
I say put it in a jar and buy yourself a treat for folding laundry.
BTW technically it is ALWAYS MINE.
LOL….. Gotta agre, its DH. Perhaps since he got such a nice bonus, you can get him to fold the “pile”… If it works, then plant five Single dollar bills. LOL…. He will continue to think he won when in reallity we all know that you are the winner
Yeah sorry to say it but I think it goes to DH. However, if it was me I would totally let him keep it if it meant he would be doing the laundry more often.
Sorry but I think it may just be his. He found it while he was doing laundry, even if it was laundry you already touched. I would make him take you for ice cream though and then it is a wash.
It’s his money. He found the bills.
I’ll settle it…it’s mine! ;-P HA! I also hate laundry. Maybe if my husband planted money in the drawers, I would put the laundry away. More than likely, I’d just take the money and run!

LOL, if you didnt ask him to switch it out, he would have never found it. I say it is his. Dont worry youll get it back one way or another.
yall are not helping at all. LOL!
Share the money and put it towards dinner, go out and have fun!!!
Sorry to say it’s his. Next time do the laundry yourself LOL. I remember when I was a kid my mom had me switch the loads and I found $20 my stepdad had left in his pockets. I was so excited because that’s gold to a 12 yo. He was so mad, but my mom told him to either start cleaning out his pockets before he puts his clothes in the laundry or to do the laundry himself.
see its totally unfair cause i TOLD him to change the laundry. He should have to SPLIT it. Besides, its my cash anyway, i lost it like weeks ago and actually thought he took it with him on a trip, but apparently it was in my clothing.
I’d start planting $5 bills in the laundry for him to find, as an incentive for him to do it more often!
I hate to get on your bad side since you are the woman behind the ANTB challenge and have a lot of pull if you want to play favorites but…I’d say whoever finds the money while actually doing a specific laundry action (whether changing it over or folding it) keeps the money. But I like Abby’s comment–to keep the peace and have you come out ahead, split the findings with you getting the $10 and he the $5.
I am afraid it is going to have to be his … but then, I would be very glad to give it to him, as long as he is happy washing and folding !
I say you keep the 10 he gets the 5
