I want to share a secret.

I am a recovering Oprah Stalker. Not as in I drive to her house and go all “I love you Paula Abdul” on her, but more like “Can you pleasehavemeon-theshowillmakeup-somethingandbeyourbff-foreverandpullyour-tissuesout-ofthetrashandputthe-minmypocket-forgoodluck” kinda stalker.

I have, no lie, written Oprah probably 47 times in the past 5 years.  She probably has a “Trisha” file. She has an opening for a show about recovering marijuana addicts? I’m applying. No, I have never even smoked marijuana, but I may have known someone that did. Maybe she wants someone who knows about reusable menstrual pads? Hey, I did a blog on that once. I’m an expert.

I have sent in my business, my product, my show suggestions, I have requested TICKETS (and still haven’t gotten any of those either, what do you have to be a celebrity?) and then one day I said…ok, Oprah, I get it.

So I let Oprah go. Sniff. No more Oprah letters. No more Oprah emails.  No more Oprah Dreams.

Then I met Anissa. Who is totally kick ass and is my BlogHer Buddy. And SHE has been on Oprah. Which makes me like 9th friend removed from Oprah. I can live with that.

I thought I was recovered till today……..I catch wind on O magazine wanting something about a blog. Who knows. I actually don’t know what they wanted. I skimmed. Then I submitted to write a blog for O  Magazine.

Well.

Its not like she cant just say no.

Or Nothing at all.

Like she usually does.

You are funny and even though I do not watch her show or read her magazine, I am hoping they respond to you.

You are so funny. I love the little drawing you made. She really should do a blogger show. You could teach her to blog.

No NO NO Trisha, dont you give up! You are not a quitter and neither am I! If I would have listened to the naysayers, I wouldnt be where I am today. You have to be persistant and think positive! I always wanted to meet her and whalla I got to meet her. It will happen dont ever give up! As much as I can talk because I do have a talk show, I was speechless when I finally got to meet her.

I will have to send you a private email to tell you about the experience. One thing to keep in mind as well; You probably may not get to get into the show either because it only holds around 50 ppl lol.

Its a small studio its just shot to look like its big. So with millions of people tyring to get tickets, thats probably why you probably arent having any luck. Most tv studios are small. You will meet her though in due time smile!

It will happen for you too, Trisha…but next time I’m getting ON THE SHOW next to Oprah so I can hop up and down on her couch ala TomC and throw myself shamelessly in her arms when we have an emotional breakthrough. Persistence is the key!
