Listen very, very carefully.
GET A REAL BROWSER.
Who uses IE anymore? It has got to be the most virus exposed, Red X creating, page shifting, crashing piece of crap browser on the face of the planet.
Most developers refuse to even make their websites IE compatible in order to put their virtual foot down on IE being used period.
Yes, there once was a time that I too was resisting the change that is FireFox. I am not sure Bill Gates could stand it if I left him all alone with only his millions of dollars to hold and love him at night. But I did it! And you can do it too! In fact, I think Bill Gates does it on purpose so he can get a little giggle every time someones page closes with an error. Now it works…..now it doesn’t. MUAHHAHAHAHAHA.

I can hear him now.
What brought this rant on you ask? We are having to code our entire new site for IE CSS separately because unlike most browsers out there, IE makes sure your site is not compatible to a visitor. I wanted to just put up a sign that said “Put your big bloggy panties on and upgrade” anytime someone surfed us via IE, but Kim wont let me.
I implore of you, I beg of you, save the internet some trouble and change to Firefox, Safari, Opera, SOMETHING else, ANYTHING ELSE, but IE.
Oh, and if your wondering, I got Redneck pool up in two hours, which when I started to fill, I realized was sloped on the yard. Now its too heavy to move, DH is out of town, I’m too antisocial to know any neighbors for help, and Charlotte wants to get in yesterday. To top it off, I am so frustrated at this point that I cant put the ladder together and the pool is too high to get in without it.
This leaves me with no choice but to drag out a dining room chair to my backyard to get in and out of the pool. This is what dreams are made of.
I am punishing myself by eating asparagus for dinner.

OMG, we have a convert. Yeah, yeah!!
I hate IE. I switched to Firefox about a month ago and I am having a love affair with it. I discover something new everyday. LOVE LOVE LOVE Firefox.
THANK YOU! I don’t know why I was stuck in the stone age and still using IE! I have been frustrated with the internet shutting down, error messages and who knows what- but as soon as I read this I downloaded Firefox and am already MUCH happier! I have seen the light!
Thank you again!
I am a Firefox user and have been for a long time. I absolutely love it! And I simply pretend IE doesn’t exist.
“What? My site doesn’t look right? Did you check those rose-colored IE glasses of yours? They’re not working so well for you now, are they?”
Ok so i clicked the link you have.. duh. And i switched. So far so good. I need to get used to it though!
Im guilty of using IE. My brother has been telling me to switch over for a LONG time now, but i dont know how/where.
I just changed a few weeks ago to Firefox. I will NEVER go back to IE! I was so scared that I would lose everything, or my world would come crashing down. All I can say is that Firefox is 20000000% faster than IE-I am in love with it. Really. And it hasn’t crashed. And random windows don’t pop up 45000 times. wow, it’s awesome.
oops- new mouse, sorry… try again..
1. brand new inspirion laptop___LOTS and LOTS of gigs- YIPPEE
2. oh no- preloaded with VISTA- can NOT change
3. many many many many many hours of ARGGHHHHHHH it froze up adn crashed again.
4. call tech support- tech-” no maam, it’s NOT your computer, it’s VISTA- it has ‘issues’”. me-”then WHY is it preloaded, you couldnt stick with a program that doesnt have ISSUES?” tech- “ummmmm, we didnt have a choice bill gates is pulling tech support for everything but vista….” me- “ARRRRGGHHHHH……………”
5. ok he aint getting any more money from me- oooh lets check out firefox
6. ahhhh- the love of my life-no crashes, no freezes, updates without BUGGING the heck out me. NO viruses, trojans or difficulties. i LOVE forefox
7. being able to tell gates “phaattttttt”….PRICELESS………
even made em switch at work- especially with all the facebook users checking their accounts, NO problems now….
pinch me i think i’m dreaming!
a world without IE- it IS truly possible!!!!!!!!
That’s the same problem I have had in the past when putting a pool up similar to what you have. I never could find a flat area that didn’t slope. Pools are so much work but if you really one it’s worth it. I’ve been taking my son to the public pool. Icky Yucky. Just make sure your little girl knows the rules and stays away from the pool unless an adult is present. Be sure to keep the ladder away when not you use just in case. As you can tell I’m a worrier.
Trisha, Trisha, Trisha…I am totally with ya and plan on sending this post out to DH,who not only still IE’s, but won’t even click on the Safari I installed on his computer. He doesn’t like change and yet he blames the computer for all his crashes and creepiness.
I also hear ya ’bout the pool. I get so frustrated with my lack of upper body strength, I have been known to take things apart-like furniture- in order to move it. When that wasn’t possible, I have used leg strength to push heavy furniture across carpeted rooms. Yes, this leaves a bubble in the carpet and I don’t care. Sorry this seems to have turned into MY rant, somehow.

Be part of the solution, not the problem.
Love love love Firefox. I wish everyone would stop surfing my site with IE too.
I really need to switch, but change is not something I am fond of.
Sorry about the pool dillema.
i recently discovered Flock and I love it… a great way to monitor my social media
HAHAHAHAH! I wouldn’t doubt it if Bill Gates is laughing at the users of IE, probably even all Windows users. I still find it hard to believe that to this day that man and his company can make millions off of poeple by putting such vulnerable software. His OS sucks, his browser sucks, and for the most part all of his software sucks.
Ahem.
I am an IE user.
Yes. The real Mama Kat. No. I do not have big bloggy panties. And no. Internet Explorer is not working well for me. We are not friends…and yet…I’m too scared to switch. I don’t know what I think will happen. My computer is already slow…will firefox slow it down even more? Will the toolbars change? What will happen to my life?? I can’t handle on this change momdot. You’re scaring me.
STOP IT!!
I use Google Chrome which is quite intuitive. I also like Firefox–especially their nifty ScreenGrab add on!!
I can’t believe IE even exists anymore. It suxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
Heather
I have learned to only use Firefox! My hubby on the other hand is a little on the slow side and will not convert. His loss!
Can I get an amen?! My blog layout looks GREAT in Firefox, but total crap in IE. Same deal with a parenting forum I work on. I resisted the change for a long time, but since going to Firefox, I haven’t looked back!
OH, you got one of those pools. AY Yi Yi! Those have always been a thorn in my side. NONE OF OUR YARD is level either and one side was always a little lopsided and of course once the kids start splashing a few times the pool would just collapse. We wasted so much money on water over the past two years it is not even funny.
And YES SWITCH TO FIREFOX EVERYONE!!!!
