Earlier in the week I had shared about my new iComfort mattress from Sears and the installation. I also shared about how you can get a Serta Mattress discount from now through Sept 8th. Since then I have had the pleasure of talking over the phone with Serta and learned some amazing things about the company. One thing we get to do as bloggers is test products, but many times the learning only comes in the form of a website or pamphlet. In this case, I got to actually talk to a very well versed member how how the mattresses are made, where they are made, and why you need to pick a great mattress as opposed to just a mattress.

Lifestyle Base
We opted for an adjustable base. Serta calls these bases “Lifestyle” bases because what they really do is allow your bed to work within your lifestyle. People are doing more and more things in their bed that don’t just include sleeping. Watching movies, working on the computer, or just reading and the lifestyle base allows the bed to sit up, bring your feet up, zero G (where your legs are above your heart) and even get a massage. I have a king sized bed so my base comes in two pieces. When you have this option you can either choose (2) XL Twins, where each mattress will independently move or 1 king mattress. We opted for one King, so we both have to either be sitting up or laying down.
In the case of someone older than us or someone that is on a totally different schedule as their spouse, you may want to opt for the double mattress option. Then one person can be sitting up reading while the other is sleeping. If you do two bases, you get two controllers.
Which would obviously make my son happy.
All beds are made to order
Really! There is NO STOCK kept in Serta iComforts. None. When you purchase a Serta, the order goes to the company and they begin to make your mattress. It takes about 48 hours from start to finish to get your mattress on its way to delivery to you. Raw materials are constantly arriving at the Serta plants, of which there are over 25 in the United States. Serta mattresses are designed and built in the US, with only a few parts like screws (from Canada) and steal rods (from China) being added.
World’s Best Mattress Warranty
While most experts recommend changing your mattress every 8-10 years, Serta mattresses have a 25 year limited warranty. You need to read your mattress warranty because many times there are rules that you have to follow to keep your mattress up to date. For example, sometimes a mattress cover is required in order to keep spills and stains from getting into the fabric.
Can a mattress really help you sleep cooler?
Hands down, my favorite part of the iComfort Savant is that it has new technology that literally helps you sleep cooler. My family’s opinion?
Our bed has become the gathering place. The cats, the dog, the kids, and my husband and I, we all love it. Well, I know this sounds pretty gross, but a stray cat that we were trying to help out PEED on part of our old mattress. We had to scrub and steam clean it, and then just turned it over! Needless to say, a new (WONDERFUL) mattress would be SO GREAT, and we’d be SO GRATEFUL!

Sleeping cooler would be nice since we’re having a heat wave this year and even the grass is thirsty for rain.
Having a good night’s sleep is important for maintaining or losing weight, REM sleep and just making better decisions overall. Having the right support built into a mattress means less tossing around at night and a more restful sleep overall. I guess I can dream on and hope my dreams will be answered pretty soon.

I don’t just want this bed, I NEED this bed. First, because I never sleep thru the night. I am always waking up several times during the night. Second, because I am going to be moving into my house in November and I have zero furniture for that house. My bedroom is bare because I have no bed, no dresser, no anything for it. Third, because the iComfort bed looks like a dream to sleep on.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE an iComfort mattress. I have a 13 year old mattress with 2 springs that have popped out. I have had 2 back surgeries and 4 knee and l surgeries that make sleeping so uncomfortable. I would love a new mattress that provides excellent support for a good night’s sleep. I also would love a mattress that would let me sleep cooler! I always feel so warm and uncomfortable in my own bed.

My mattress is 22 years old. It’s a dinosaur. Purchased new after we got married. It is still not very comfortable and my back lets me know how uncomfortable each and every minute of the night.

We need this sooo bad. My husband has a degenerative disease called Ankylosing Spondylitis. He has had both hips replaced already and he is only 37years old. He doesn’t sleep well and he has a hard time getting in and out of bed. We have a tempurpedic but we really need an adjustable bed.

I would love to win something as amazing as this. I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, a chronic inflammatory auto-immune disease. It severly affects my spine. At 23 (I am 26 now) I had a herniated disc removed after dealing with the excruciating pain for 2 years. Thankfully I don’t really have much pain during the day anymore due to the surgery. But sleeping is still super painful, especially during the (upcoming) cold winter months. Waking up pain-free in the morning is not something that has happened for me since before I had my 5 year old and 8 month 8 old. Our bed is not too old, but it’s the old style coil springs (because it’s what we were given) which is not exactly what my back needs. Anyhoo…again, I would be super grateful and lucky if I was the winner of this awesome sleeping slumber!

A mattress is on my Dream Review list too, along with “free rent swag”. So if either of those can ever happen, that would be the best.
I can only dream of what a good night’s sleep in a good bed would be like. We have a sad excuse for a mattress, yes, but mainly, I want a shot at finally kicking insomnia to the curb. It sounds like this bed could do that. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that sleep (& new bed) dreams come true!
I do believe in miracles. I do believe in miracles. I do. I do. I do. Please let this be one of those. We paid mucho bucks on a mattress that’s killing me & hubby says we have to keep it the one time we discussed it & was so intent I never brought it up again. Having Spinal Stenosis I get up in two or three hours due to the pain & sleep on the recliner & in a couple hours I go to the couch or back to bed for another couple hours. If I can only find that one mattress that’s like a cloud from heaven I’d be one happy camper for sure, and praising it’s name everywhere! My daughter has one & I tried hers & I slept for a full seven hours, so dreams do come true at least mine did for one night.

We’re stationed in Okinawa, where its difficult (to say the very least) to come by a new mattress. One that isn’t previously used, or one that isn’t ‘japanese’ style. Our mattress is a Tempurpedic, and while it works for some people, it just doesn’t work for US. Not to mention that its quite old itself. Here’s to hoping we win! Thank you.

We have a soft sided waterbed that was SUPPOSE to be motionless and it’s anything but. You can feel the other person breathing and it’s so uncomfortable not to mention the feeling of rolling off a cliff anytime he moved in my direction. I got so tired of fighting the bed each night I myself a twin bed to put next to the queen size waterbed my Don still sleeps in and he’s constantly complaining of back problems. I’m sure the iComfort would be a God send for both of us and get us back in the same bed the way we were meant to be.
This mattress look AMAZING and the answer to many many prayers and fights. My husband is a hot box when he sleeps so he sleeps with a fan on ALL YEAR LONG. I on the other hand am always cold. The way the mattress pulls heat away will totally solve this issue. And the support well I can tell you that I am not getting any younger and my back is sooo not happy about it. My present mattress is not cutting it at all. So I hope that I get to try this mattress out and end my pain! ;0)

OH MY! perfect timing. Now I just need some luck. Last year we lost our home and had to dowgrade for a little bit. We had to storage our KING bed for a year and had to sleep on our blow up mattress. I would love to win this mattress — my husband has RLS and it takes him forever to get to sleep every night. Then when he tosses and turns all night because his body is in pain and when he wakes up in the morning his whole body aches. It sounds like this mattress has really helped you!

I would really love the opportunity to test out one of these mattresses. My husband and I have a king size bed with a 12 year old mattress. (The warranty ran out two years ago.) I sleep terribly. Between my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), my husband’s snoring, the lack of effectiveness of any sleeping pills on me, my small temperature comfort zone, and the pain in my back, neck, and shoulders… It would be a miracle if we could get a bed that would help me actually get a good night’s sleep for once.
