on your blog?

  1. Katie says:

In general I avoid things that bug the crap out of me about my family, since most of them read it.

  2. I would have to say that on my current blog, politics would be something I wouldn’t touch. Everyone seems to be so diametrically opposed to each other nowadays that reason no longer seems to matter to either side.

  3. Krimsin says:

Well, I already screwed my chance for any public office with 1/2 the things I say on there, but I agree with Shan.

  4. Cathy says:

Well, my current blog is so specific due the title, but I have ventured out and really don’t mind talking about just about anything…..working on a new blog that I plan be more “free” with…

  5. nicóle says:

Anything I wouldn’t feel comfortable talking about in front of a large group of people I don’t really know. Like at a party or something…

  6. My sex life. That is private an not fuel for the bloggy grist mill.

  7. The Mom Jen says:

My MIL…one day I will though.

  8. Jenn@FFP says:

politics…I’m middle of the road myself but there are so many freakin nuts on both sides it’s hard to publish your opinion on something like politics and NOT get attacked for it!

  9. I’m okay with voicing my opinion on most topics (it is part of being “me”) though I try to be as nice and diplomatic about it as I can. I try not to mention family much, though.

  10. Zippy says:

Yes. My husband. You see my husband is VERY ILL. It’s hard enough living with it, but since my blog is both my job as well one of my escapes I have no desire to have his problems spill over onto my blog.

I DO however write anonymously about it for a site that’s geared in that direction.

  11. Jenn says:

breastfeeding vs. formula, SAHM vs. working Mom, and most education based opinions, but only because I have a lot of teacher friends and I’d like to keep them :) ))

  12. Run DMT says:

I’ve done religion and politics. I’m with you Trisha. Bring it on! LOL But my family, I avoid the whole topic and believe me, there’s plenty to share. Grrrrrrrr

  13. Religion. Oh, and breastfeeding in public – holy shit, who knew that could be such a doozy?

  14. Is my blog the catalyst for this question?

  15. claire says:

Oh man.. there are TONS of things I’d LOVE to talk about. In fact, I got my first “censorship” from my DH, recently =X
I’d love to discuss his family, his ex wife, people in my life who have really f-ed me over.. Not in a bad bashing way, but to be able to discuss openly my thoughts & feelings on these things with out the repercussions from family/people. These are the things while keep me from writing sometimes, because life troubles, or issues, or difficulties, etc play a roll in my desire to write ( or atleast write freely!) but they just arent “ok” to talk about because no matter how nice I am about them, someone will be peeved. I pretty much will talk about anything though, if its the right opportunity & I have the time & ability to say exactly how I feel. That’s what the base of blogging is, writing your thoughts & opinions, unfortunately there is always going to be someone who will keep people from doing so, because not everyone can handle hearing or calmly discussing things they don’t agree on, they just get heated & then rude. So, what is it your wanting to write, or are you just asking?

  16. Tina says:

You know the kiddie clique blog, there aren’t any topics too taboo for us to cover. I think you can voice your opinion, even if it differs from the majority, without hurting feelings.

  17. Michelle says:

Politics, abortion, religion are all fair game for me. Intimate details about my son, probably not.
