Its beginning to look a lot like…

Posted on Trisha-admin on November 28, 2009 // 27 Comments //

Christmas in our house! We finally put up a tree.

Or rather, Charlotte put it up! I have some fabulous video of her dancing around to Christmas songs Ill try to get up by the beginning of next week.

charlottechristmas

Remember last year when Alicia didn’t take down her tree till like MAY. Omg, we did weekly updates.  I think the entire blog was run off of us writing about her tree being STILL up.

We didn’t have a star and our angel wasn’t the right size for our tree, so we improvised with one of Charlotte’s Thanksgiving crafts.

Just the right touch I think…

Chris is convinced we need to get ornaments that all match each other. I like the quirkiness of the gawdy tree.

Ooh, I am so excited for Christmas!!

The tree looks beautiful, mismatched is by far the best! We just cut down our 10 ft Frasier Fir at the tree farm today, tomorrow we decorate…it smells so good in the house. The boys are sooooooooooo excited. This is my absolute favorite time of the year. And now that I am a Mom, it is even more magical because I get to see everything through their eyes.

I thought the whole point of the ornaments was the ones you’ve collected or been given over the years. I think it’s fun to get each one out and remember the story behind it – except our creepy clown we won as a door prize.

It still amazes me how much hair she has!! Love the tree…is this the same “pink” tree as last year? I love all the mismatched ornaments too. I have a set of matching ornaments, but then we also put on all the ornaments we’ve collected over the years….some from when I was in kindergarten!

That tree looks good. Our tree is all ornaments that are bought or homemade no balls and ours do not match. To me that it what makes the tree look so good. My house is excited for Christmas also.

Your tree looks beautiful! And the photos are great!

Oh, and I’d much rather have a gaudy tree than one that’s all matchy. It gives the tree some personality!

Looks like Charlotte is having a blast getting everything ready for Christmas! Our tree is mismatched too but we like it. We have ornaments from grandparents that we still put up on the tree. Hopefully my younger two don’t break any this year.

Oh how cute! Lol we’ve NEVER had ornaments that match unless you count the Disney ones my grandma would get in the mail. I love those ones lol. We don’t have a ‘big’ tree this year but we have one that was passed down from my great grandma to my grandma and then my grandpa gave to me last year when we separated all her Christmas stuff. It is a white table tree that is fiber optic but I love it none the less lol. I still need to post pics of it ha!

Yep, we definitely have a mismatched tree! I started getting ornaments as gifts when I was little and they’ve been continuously added onto since :) Gorgeous pictures!

    She sure is having fun!
but isn’t what the holiday spirit is suppose to be? besides the religious side of course… Goodwill towards other, silliness, fun & surprises. Dreams of little kids & big ones too!

If you had tons of posts over Alicia’s tree… you will most likely “ban” me over my silly tree…
It has been up since Christmas 2007!! ( yes, obviously it is fake) The last time both sons were home with their wives. We just didn’t have the heart to take it down & we were enjoying it, hubby lit it up every night… along came another holiday.. and we just added more ornaments!
Maybe I should blog about it… before you all “block this crazy woman” LOL
    Cheers!

That’s awesome, I can’t wait to put mine up but dh says not till the 20th . We don’t have the room for one so it is going to make it really crowded here. Makes me mad cause I want it up now. Charlotte looks so sweet , and excited.

Love the tree and no ornaments shouldn’t match. Glad to see Charlotte is so happy and that all this nonsense isn’t affecting her.

    Aww, how cute she is.

I have to clean my living room before we can put ours up. I will not put up a tree in a messy LR. LOL I’m OCD like that.

Hopefully we can get a real tree this year.

It’s gorgeous by the way, just as Charlotte is.
