Guess what I did today?

I joined a gym.

I really did.

Do not ask me why. It was a whim. Like hey, Im going to get healthy.

I feel so proud of myself for paying a membership fee. I think I got excited to go buy new shoes and a pair of spandex. You know, people my age shouldn’t be in spandex, should they? Oh well, too late.

Maybe it was the overly buff guy at the front wearing his hair like Zac Efron giving me a “tour”. Someone had to pay his commission so he can go to college.

Now how do I motivate myself to GO?

Do they have internet at the gym? Laptop plugins? Anything?

You should blog about your results from going to the gym. I’d love to see some vlogs about working out

Good luck! I joined at the beginning of the month and so far I’ve made it at least 4 days a week each week. I’m trying REALLY hard to be dedicated. It helps that they asked me to help them out this summer so I’m going in 2 or 3 days a week to work and can workout while I work! Gotta love that!

I just wanted to say good luck. I’m a terrible gym person. Every time I forced myself to go I’d spend more time doing laps in the pool and dreaming in the hot tub rather than actually working out.

Check out their classes. I do better in a group setting than on my own. I also like having matching outfits and new things I want to wear.

    Good luck!!

The only way I could make myself go to the gym was when we only had one kid and he was in preschool. I’d drop him off at preschool and go directly to the gym. Do not pass go, do not collect $200 LOL. Then afterward I’d got to Wendy’s and get a Jr. bacon cheeseburger, small fries, and a small coke. I was the skinniest I’ve been since before I had kids.

lol. I totally get the excitement! It’s like the same excitement that I used to get at the start of school each year. New back pack, new pencils…exhilarating. For a week or two, at least. lol.

The trick is extending your gym excitement- maybe new workout duds for every two weeks you consistently work out there? Something to look forward to? Ya know, besides like an awesome body, and good health:)

    Good luck!
