This note is from heather who does our Contest Mondays. I mentioned she has been offline for a bit (which is why I am doing the linkies instead of the nice pretty posts she does). I just got this info from her and she gave me permission to share with you all so you can be warned as well. Heather is a very good friend of ours, please keep her in your thoughts. We wish her well to come back soon. I am now all conflicted about Charlotte online.

Ok so I have a laptop now and full internet access but something was brought to my attention yesterday.
A detective contacted me and told me that they were doing random stings on child pornography sites and they got a site that pulled up hundreds and hundreds of pictures of little girls and young women. Apparently someone hacked into my myspace account and stole pictures of Sophie and pictures of me and put them on this site. Along with my last name, which is how they contacted me to inform me. I’ve deleted my myspace and all pictures from facebook and I’m not posting anything on my Blog until the mother effer is in prison. They won’t tell me who or what site BC of the confidentiality aspect of the investigation and he isn’t in custody and charges haven’t been filed so as soon as that happens I should hear more about the case. But please. Beware of what you post! I have no idea which pictures the man took. I do know I had everything set to the utmost privacy settings but I guess if someone really wants to hack you they will.

You just never know, do you? What a sicko, and, unfortunately, there are too many sickos in the world. I’m so sorry this happened to you, but I’m glad you let us all know about it so everyone can take action to protect their family photos. I don’t post pictures myself, but this is another reason not to. I hope they arrest the pervert and prosecute him to the max.
I’m so sorry Heather. That is horrible. I hope they catch the guy. Now I want to go remove all pictures I’ve ever posted of my kids.
Wow. That gives me a huge stomach ache. Nothing is safe anymore. So sad that there are sick people out there who thrive on this shit.

This is why I don’t post pics of my kids online, not even on my private MySpace profiles, nor do I use their real names. I learned the hard way, thanks to an ex-boyfriend’s psycho new girlfriend, that even private profiles and accounts aren’t safe.

My heart goes out to Heather and all the other parents and kids who were or will be victimized by a piece of slime like this. Such a creepy thought that someone could be looking at a photo of your child in an inappropriate manner. I hope the find him and throw him into the general populace of the biggest prison in his state (or better yet into the Federal prison where the big boys live. They’ll show him a thing or two about how they cope with creeps like him in their world. Inmates are particularly hostile to people who violate the rights of children – after all, many of them have kids of their own. Actually, I have a better idea… let him one day TRULY wake up to the horror of his actions and have to live with the comprehension of the sick thing he has done. That’s revenge enough.
That is REALLY creepy! I’m sorry your family is going through this. I hope they are able to catch this guy!
