Keurig Platinum Brewer Giveaway ($199)CLOSED

If I could fall in love with a coffee machine, it would be this one.  The reason? Its not just a coffee machine. Keurig left nothing out of this amazing technology that they have disguised as a coffee machine, but rather is all around brewer that creates heaven in a cup…and if your heaven is hot chocolate or tea, it can do that too.

What struck me most when the machine arrived was how modern and sleek it was. With its black on silver design, it was a machine that caught the eye, not just as an inconvenient part of America’s addition to coffee, but a way to beautifully display a product that inhabits most of our daily lives. ( i used a picture from Keurig themselves because my flash keeps bouncing off the machine)

ontable

Let me say that I have tried several machines. I received a Senseo last year and while I did like the whole pod idea, it quickly became almost impossible to find flavors still on the shelves almost anywhere. The few I found, mostly dark coffees I don’t drink, were already on clearance -pretty much a tell tale sign that Senseo was on its way out.

And its no wonder as Keurig has taken its place as not even a close cousin to Senseo, but really as a the King of Brewers. With a quick cleansing of the machine through its getting ready cycle, and it didn’t take much more then a glance at the directions as this machine is extremely user friendly, I was ready to brew my first cup of coffee.

The machine has a on/off button on the back if you would like to conserve energy when not in use OR you can preset it so it makes your coffee/tea/hot chocolate every day FOR you.

size

From changing the actual temperature that it brews at to the degree, to deciding what size glass you want to fill, Keurig has made it where you will never need to upgrade again. Short of having someone fill the water reservoir FOR you, this machine has taken care of everything else.

All you do is drop the premeasured pod into the top and it clamps closed, piercing a small hole into the top and bottom, that the water flows through, into the machine, and right to your cup. I personally like to pre-add my milk and sugar to the cup so when the coffee hits it, its already mixing it up. The cup keeps it so the grinds are not messy….I found with the pods, they were gross to handle and with the cups its as simple as dropping and pulling out. No fuss, no mess, no stink.

And regardless of which kind of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate you like, they carry pretty much EVERY kind out there you can think of from a variety of companies. They even support several charities and you can buy coffee that supports Free Trade and Heifer International! And check it out, Ghirardelli hot chocolate!

hot_cocoaIndulge with the luxuriously deep, rich flavor of hot cocoa. Long one of the world’s most popular hot drinks, the original beverage was actually enjoyed cold, a mixture of ground cocoa beans, water, wine and chili peppers. After its introduction in Spain, the drink began to be served hot, sweetened and without the peppers. One hundred years later, news of this fabulous new beverage had spread across Europe and to America.

And you can also set them up on your counter so they are easily accessible in these stackable coffee containers!

The only problem with this machine is that you will get addicted to it (as if that is a problem! HA!). I have had a cup of ……something…………every day since I have opened it. (my favs so far are pecan and hazelnut) And every flavor I have tried has been perfect. I have just discovered French Vanilla in the box and its on my next cup list!

Just don’t forget your can of whip cream next time you go to the store and you can kick your Starbucks habit to the curb!
