Last week some time I fell in love with a script and bought it thinking it would be easy to install. Not only was it not easy, it was damn near impossible. All over the web it was being talked about as not able to install specifically on the template I use for this blog.
So much for doing my ‘research’ first.
But a few people HAD gotten it as we found some sites live with it on the web so I had a small glimpse of hope that if someone, somewhere had done it, all was not lost. I honestly hated the thought of losing $15 on something I could not use. After completely screwing up a few practice runs on a tester blog, I turned to Kim and asked her if she would help.
She very unsuspectingly said yes. My master plan was at work. Kim is not a quitter and she would not let this script defeat her. What started out as a ‘little’ job, turned into a few days worth of adventure.
I am proud to show that Kim, indeed, did not let the template or the script overcome her, and after like 30 hours of work, has managed to get it in. We now have a newer, prettier feature area so we can put in a few extra things we want to show off instead of just one. (Thankfully, I prenegotiated a rate, otherwise I would be out like $500 worth of labor.)
Thank you kim, I really love it.Your amazingly patient. Or persistent. Either way, you rock.

She really does. Kim is THE BEST!!
Hoooray for Kim! How much would you charge to figure out why my Flock browser/Google keeps shutting down on me? LOL (Just kidding, I can’t afford to pay anyone…..)
So what is the script that was installed? (I’m slow and technologically challenged)
@Andrea
I had trouble with the Adobe flash player downloading, too. I had to redo it 5 times before it worked.
Looks FAB!
AWESOME!!! It looks great! Great job Kim!
Kim should name her drink-and you too, Trisha. I’m packing the booze and making them at BlogHer because you both have been so awesome and helpful!
(gotta laugh at Kim’s dual personality there!)

Kim-1, technology-0
Seriously it was like my mission, especially when I saw how many people did get it to work on their sites.
It looks great Trisha, the brown behind the text is the prefect way to tie it into the theme!
Go Kim! I’m so glad she was able to help you Trisha..it looks great!
@ Trisha-admin:
Thanks. I got it to work. Tricky adobe download was not installing. Looks great now!
andrea, i am using mozilla, i dont have any problems? maybe reinstall?
Yes, you have to have adobe flash.
Is this why the feature area will not work for me? I am using Mozilla and it says I need a flash update but the update won’t install. Bummer.
Kim does Rock!
