Life is always interesting…

I know I haven’t been around. I know I’ve been gone. But my life is crazy…

I’m getting a divorce.

heartI’m doing well, the girls are well and we are all excited about what life is going to bring us. No it won’t be easy and yes there have been things that I just can’t go on about but that its been coming for awhile.

Life never just makes it easy, does it?

I promise I”m coming back to start blogging to start letting off steam to let myself think freely.

Thank you to all my friends, you know who you are who’ve stood by me and loved me no matter what.

And yes Trisha, I might just ask for your toothbrush again.

I went through divorce 4 and a half years ago after 23 years of marriage. I have eight children, at the time one was an adult the others were 16 down to two. It was incredibly difficult as I was a loving being a stay at home mom and had home schooled 5 of them for 16 years. But even though divorcing it was up there with the top 5 most difficult things of my life I also say it was the best thing I ever did for all of us and for me. I have grown more since the divorce then in all the years in a marriage that wasn’t good for me. Today I’m starting my own business. That never would have happened within that marriage.

There is life after divorce, it’s just takes time to come out of the haze. Above all things be patient with yourself.

I went through a divorce twelve years ago and though hard with two little boys, ages one and three at the time, it was the greatest thing I could have done for all of us. I am now remarried, incredibly happy and have another little boy. Divorce is awful for a while but one day the clouds part and the sun shines down. The best advice I could give, not that you asked, is keep your sense of humor handy!
