Did that get your attention? Its not surprising that little girls want to wear thongs. With the amount of makeup thrown on Bratz dolls and the ultra bulimic Tini Puppini, we have taken dress up pretend play to everyday reality.
Today at the park, there were two girls running around. They had to be no older then 12, but I would put them at 11. First off, the little girl (whose face I have covered) and her friend were playing on the swings and spinning around and the girl fell backwards and her legs were stuck over the side and her entire pants AND underwear CAME OFF.. I felt SO bad for her. The girl had to untwist her to get her pants up first.
While that was an accident (and should teach her about wearing PJs to the park) when the other girl got up to play and we saw her Gstring hanging out the back, I about died.
G string?
For an 11/12 year old? Oh, HELL no.
Who finds this even remotely appropriate? Its no wonder old perverted men look at little girls wrongly…they are wearing adult clothing and parading it around out the back of their pants.
And the irony of the Tinkerbell shirt paired with the “matching” hot pink G string is killing me.
Would you let your child wear this or am I just too conservative?

ps for the record, I was a lot further then these pictures indicate and this was a background shot that I cut out of the picture and it zooms it..its a 10 meg camera, so you can be far and get up close….this should be a lesson to parents who let their kids wear thongs..no one cares or notices if you take pictures at the park, so dress your kids appropriately. In this case, I cut out the girls face wearing the thong but in the real shot, you can see her.

Um hellz no! And they won’t be snaggin’ them from my drawer either as I don’t care for those. Just askin’ for trouble!

Yikes! And we wonder why Mr. Perv targets our Kids like hot pancakes! Being cool is not being like a grown-up way beyond your actual age. Being cool is enjoying and behaving what age you’re in Missy! Gosh, my daughter better not behave this way or she’s not dating until she’s 35!
Yeah, it’s a known fact that all perverts have x-ray vision and are able to se what kind of underwear kids are wearing..
This is insane. I can’t imagine letting my little girl wear these. I can’t imagine a little girl wanting to. How crazy! They try to grow up so fast. Sometimes being a mommy is so scary!

There is no way my daughters would be allowed to even think about wearing a thong. People wonder why our kids are being kidnapped and raped.

All I can say is Wow. And considering I’m assuming those girls were there alone since you had to help the one get down, do these parents not think of sexual predators that just stake out children at the parks? That would have been a key target for someone if they wanted it.

I don’t even wear them, there’s no way in hell I’d EVER let my daughter wear them at 12, 15, or even 18. At least not while in my house. Go granny panties! (for my daughters at least)

I completely and totally agree that this is wrong!
I do know someone who has bought their preteen clothes like that. The mom has guilt over the physical abuse that her ex-husband did, so she gets her daughter anything and everything she wants in order to compensate. I was completely horrified to learn that she was wearing thong underwear as a young girl.
Now that she’s an older teenager, her mom goes into debt to buy her new cars (multiple cars – she keeps changing her mind about which model she wants), stereos, electronics, and even modeling lessons (which she quit half-way through).
It’s really sad because you can’t buy things to replace affection (in this case the missing affection of a father). Yet, she keeps trying, putting herself into debt to please her teenager.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure that all parents who let their childern wear thong will forever be in debt because of this..
@ Debateur:

I am absolutely NOT going to ask you how you got those pictures.
As for my own daughter I don’t know. Personally I don’t see the appeal.

@ Sarah:
I assure you that this is a Gstring. This girl got stuck up there and I had to help her down. Its smaller then any underwear I even own. Its too big for her because it was half way up her back.
Not on purpose that’s for sure.
And I say “on purpose” because when I first started letting Mo get herself dressed she managed to get her undies on twisted and sideways and that’s what it looked like.
I have to echo what Amanda said – let them be children. Heaven knows they are processing too much grown up stuff from TV and the radio and friends already. They don’t need to dress and act like grown ups just yet. Falls under the heading of “prosti-tot” for me!

absolutely NOT, I don’t even wear the damn things. My adolescent daughter will not either!

um …no!!!
honestly with the way the world is I would probably even be cautious posting that pic…you never know who would say it is something more than what you are trying to get across..or what type of pervs might come around just to check it out.
My stepdaughters always wanted bikini bathing suits and I would let them get two pieces but they had to get the tank type tops …there was no way they were running around in bikinis at that age…even at 14 now I wouldnt allow it.
I remember when we went to seaworld and this girl that couldnt have been more than 13 was wearing wicked short shorts…She bent over to touch the dolphins and you could see almost everything…I wanted to smack her and her parents upside the head!

I am a mommy to all boys, but I would die if I saw this, or had a girl and she asked for one! Heck no!! Why do girls feel they need to grow up so fast, being a grown up is not all it is cracked up to be!
um NO!
hell ya
I said no. And then when my oldest went to the mall with a friend, at probably about age 11 or 12, she came home with one. Hid it until I found it in the laundry. Now I don’t know if that mom allowed her to get it, or didn’t see what she took to the counter, or wasn’t paying attention…maybe didn’t care. I wasn’t taking it up with the mom. But I did take it up with my daughter.
She’s 19 now and it’s one of those things I still hear about…she was the only one in school that didn’t have one…{{right}}…that and the fact that I didn’t let her see The Nutty Professor in 2nd grade. Just because everyone else does it…sheesh…

Oh Hell No!! Are you kidding me? Where is that girl’s mother? I would die, just DIE, if my 11 yo ever came to me and asked for a thong. Egh, I’m so repulsed right now!!!

I don’t have any girls, but if I did, Oh Hell No also comes to my mind. Kids grow up fast enough. We just told our 7yo the other day when he was acting like a fool that we don’t expect him to act like a grown up, just act 7 and not 2.
